Bella Embellishment Challenge and Knitting!

There are days when I could just sit and knit my heart out all day long! Make a blanket, pair or socks, mittens, hats, sweaters, dish clothes. You name it and I would want to do it! Now that I have the two baby girls, well, the things to knit together are limitless! Some people hate the repitition of knitting or cross stitching but it has such a soothing and calming effect on me. I spend my day with my brain jumping from one thing to the next and knitting centers and calms me. I could put in a great movie, sit back in my chair and just get lost in the smooth, steady clicking of the needles. Hagrid comes over and sits on my feet and falls into a deep sleep. What a way to spend the day! Just about perfect to me.

Knitabella came right to mind when Shannon and Tangi put out the first of the Friday Challenges at bellaholicsanonymous. You have to make a card and use ribbon and 5 buttons on a card. Well, sewing is one of my other passions and I've got buttons everywhere so it would be pitiful of me if I didn't participate! I colored her with copics and I loved the glitter paper from DCWV. The buttons are a combination of ones I'e had since sewing for the girls when they were young except the pink one. It's from Basic Grey. The brads are from making memories and the ribbon is from Loreen at Wish Upon A Scrap.

The only thing wrong with having things you love to do in your life is trying to decide what to do! As for me, I'm going to split my time today. But do I stamp, knit or cross-stitch? But then there's always sewing. I've always wanted to try sewing on paper...
