Merry Weather Blog Hop from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection

Welcome to The Digi Bell's fun blog hop to introduce you to Merry Weather, our newest addition to the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection!  It's time to reveal another beauty from the ever talented Miss Bell and are you ready for  some cuteness to come your way?  If you came to me from Pami's blog, then you're so on the right track.  If not, make sure to hop back to her blog and start there!  With all the spring weather coming there's new buds and flowers popping up everywhere and cool puddles of water that just can't be resisted!

Isn't she just a baby doll?  I'm just absolutely taken with her!  This is the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketch that I followed:

Now here's a close up of this baby doll!

She's colored with copics and has some stickles added to her dress, bloomers, water, and headband. The papers are from a gorgeous My Mind's Eye pack.  I used my Clear Jelly Roll Pen to add some shine to the flowers and butterfly. These gorgeous pearl swirls are from Close To My Heart and the pearls are from Studio 112.  The flowers are handmade and the branches are a Martha Stewart punch.  The lace is from my stash.

Just a couple of side views for you.

And the full inside.  I know I said I was going to try and shake things up a bit but these papers were so gorgeous I didn't want to take anything away from them.

I'm entering this beauty in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Anything goes
Forever Friends - Lots of flowers
Moving Along With The Times - Spring is in the Air
Crafting For All Seasons- Spring
Inklings and Yarns - Always anything goes

Now head on over to our fearless and oh so talented leader, Lynda's blog and see what she's got in store for you.  Inspiration is sure to be waiting there for you!

Saint Patrick's Day Sassy by Sassy Studio Designs

It's getting close to one of those holidays that can be so much fun but so painful!  I remember in my younger days that I tried to have at least a little bit of green in most of my underwear so if I got wrapped yp with life and forgot about St. Patrick's Day, I'd at least have something with green on!  Now that I look back on it, there's something pretty crass about pulling at your waist just to show off a shade of green on your underwear!  There's just something so classy about showing your panty elastic or your bra strap!  Hey, whatever it takes to keep from getting pinched for not wearing any green!

Well, over at Sassy Studio Design blog, it's Dare to Be Sassy Thursday and Kathy gave us the challenge of Seeing Green for St. Patrick's Day!  I knew exactly what image I wanted to use because this beauty reminded me of the days when I used to go out and really celebrate the Day!

I would dare say that Saint Patrick's Day Sassy is full of green and could hold her own while out on the town to celebrate the holiday!  I used the sketch from Fetch A Sketch and think she came out pretty good.  She's colored with copics and has stickles on her clovers and top, pants, and socks.  I added some Diamond Glaze to the mug and the foam and used my Clear Jelly Roll pen to add some sparkles to the buckles on the shoes and belt and to the bubbles on the mug. The papers are from Recollections and SEI.  The flowers are from Recollections and the branches are made with Martha Stewart punches and her frame is from Nestabilities.  I added some Scattered Straw Distressed Inks around the edge of the frame to give her that golden, pot of gold at the end of he rainbow look.

Isn't she a gorgeous stunner?

I followed the sketch on the inside and here's a couple of peeks of it.

Here's the full biew of the inside.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Sponsored by Fred She Said

I did something on this challenge that I don't do very well - paper piecing.  Today over at Tuesday Throwdown, we are being sponsored by Fred, She Said Stamps and I chose their gorgeous image, Hummingbird and Petunias.  I love how unique hummingbirds are in their flight patterns.  If you can think of a diection, a hummingbird can fly it!  When I was living in Ohio, Mom had some hummingbirds that nested in the tree in the front yard and they would come to the front window and eat from the feeder.  Their colors were so clear and vibrant.  I loved sitting there watching them feet and the flit away.  Talk about relaxing!

Here's my card for today:

I adore this image and the layout is from the sketch from Catch The Bug Challenge.  Here's a picture of it:

I colored he image with coics and paper pieced the leaves with some solid yellow/green paper.  I added stickles to the flowers and bird and used my nestabilities to cut out the image and border.  The tulle is from Joann Fabrics and the pearls from Studio 112.  The papers are some of my hording from BasicGrey.

I love the look of this from the sides.

I want to try and use more sentiments on my cards and this image reminds me so much of the hope of spring and deided to add it and another butterfly to the inside.

I am going to enter this in the following challenges:

Challenge 4 Everyone - Always anything goes
