Welcome Fairy Merrily to our family at The Digi Bells!

Our newest Digi is here, and I am quite excited about her!

Please welcome ** Fairy Merrily ** to our little family of Elisabeth Bell Digi's....
Blog hop will start on
Friday, July 19, 2013, at 12:00 pm and ends on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 12:00 pm.

If you came to my blog from the sweet and oh so talented Lynne's blog, then you're on the right track.  If not, head on over to the multi-talented Julie's blog and start there.  I don't want you to miss a single project because this little pixie is too stinkin cute!  I'm so excited to share my version of Fairy Merrily with you!

Does it get much cuter than this?  Not for me, it doesn't!  I could color her and look at her forever!  She's colored with copics and has Stickles on her wings and on her dress.  I added some Diamond Glaze to her shoes and flowers in her hair.  This gorgeous paper is from a BasicGrey stack called That's My Girl.  She's got some handmade flowers and the Floral Oval frame she's cut out with are both from Spellbinders.  The seam binding and the orange card stock are from Stampin Up (the card stock is from one of the older In Color packs) and  the baker's twine is from The Twinery.  The charm and lace are from my stash.

Don't you just want to be flying free with her?  I'm really loving how she came out!

Here's a view of the pretty charm and the computer generated sentiment.

For some reason, I just couldn't stop taking pictures of her!

Here's one last look at her before you leave.

Now flit on over to my dear friend and so creative stamping sister, Mary Lou's place and see her fabulous creation!  Believe me, you won't want to miss it!

Happy hopping and have a great weekend!

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday for Sassy Studio Designs

Gotta love summer!  It's my favorite time of the year as you all know.  One thing I love about summer is all the vivid colors.  Everything looks so deep and vibrant.  Over at Sassy Studio Designs Dare to Be Sassy Thursday, our challenge this week to everyone is to use your favorite color combination.  I have several, but one of my all time favorites is blue and yellow.  It seems so fresh and renewing to me.  I love the french country look and that's what those colors remind me of.

For my project this week, I used Cinderella Pinup and made a CD case!  It was so fun and easy!  I followed the directions found here .  I colored the beauty with copics and added stickles all over her.  These gorgeous papers are from an Echo Park paper pad that I ordered from Kim at Cutter's Creek.  The flowers are from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge and the swirls are from Spellbinders.  I added some tulle and pearls and called it good!

Here's a view of the back.  The instructions call for some type of closure, but I was making this for one of Allie's little friends so I left the closure off.  She's only 3 and I wanted to make it really easy for her to get it open.

I know, you're asking why not Cinderella instead of Tinkerbell!  I had one of the Tinkerbell's all done up and ready to go, but I spilled coffee on her and my Cinderella DVD is in storage.  So there you have it!

Here she is close up.  I absolute love this image and hope you do too!  So head on over to our Sassy Studio Design Team blog and see what fabulous and fun color combinations my creating buddies have come up with for you.  I loved their projects and got a couple of ideas of colors to try together that I never though of. Love it when that happens!

Don't forget to head over to our Sassy Studio Design Party Blog and take advantage of the fabulous new image that is being offered today and tomorrow for free before it goes into the store on Saturday morning!  She's so much fun and remember to use her responsibly.

Li'l Princess Tu-Tu

Hello everyone!  Hope you're having a great summery day!  It's hot down here in Florida in the States and I'm getting ready to take a dip in the pool.  Refreshing, I hope!  Today I want to share a cutie pop, Li'l Princess Tu-Tu,  from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection, who I have loved since the day she was created!  I can't believe I've never used her, but every time I'd start to color her up, someone would have her up on the blog or have done a gorgeous coloring of her.  But below is the story that got me to finally color her up!

Last week I was cleaning and getting ready for Allie's 5th birthday party and I had the broom out sweeping the floor.  She asked to help and I said sure (never going to turn down free labor!).  I went to get the dust pan and come back into the living room and there she is riding the broom all over the floor and telling Nanni how great of a sweep her horsey is!  I just knew that was my cue to get this baby on a card!

Isn't she just precious?  I think so!  She's colored with copics and has Stickles all over her!  I added some distressed ink around the edges and distressed the edges of all the paper and layers but you can't see them very well.  The flowers are handmade and the branches are from Martha Stewart's punch.  I added some cheese cloth and pearls and the papers are some gorgeous, fun older papers from a Debbie Mumm collection.  I love them and have been hording them forever!

Here's a closer view of some of the papers. Cute, aren't they?

Hope you enjoy her as much as I loved coloring her.

Hope everyone is able to stay cool or at least comfortable!  I'll be back tomorrow with another fun project for Sassy Studio Designs and then Friday, we are presenting another sweet digi for Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection!  Oh, I can't wait to show her off to you!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Sponsored by My Grafico

Boy, what a time we've had!  Allie's birthday party was on Saturday and what a great time we had!  But I gotta tell you, I forgot how much energy a group of kids can have!  I was exhausted and it took a couple of days to recuperate!

Glad to be back with another challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown!  Our sponsor this week is MyGrafico and what fun under the sea images they so graciously supplied us with to have some fun creating for you!  It was really fun because the theme is anything goes so you just can't go wrong!  I chose to use this cute octopus from their Sea Animals set because I think they rock!  They used to scare me, but now I think they're so much fun, especially this cutie.

I colored this cutie with copics and added stickles all over him.  The papers are from BasicGrey's Shine On paper pack and I love the colors!  They look so beachy to me!  I embossed the yellow papers and the aqua and green chevrons with my devine swirls Cuttlebug folder.  The gems are from Studio G and the ribbon is from my stash.

Isn't this face just so sweet?

I love these papers and tried to add some browns with the stripes on the scalloped circle frame that this cutie pie is sitting on.

Make sure to stop over and join in on the challenge.  An anything goes challenge is a great way to participate.  All you need to do is make a card or project!  Also, stop over at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog and see the fabulous projects that my designing buddies have come up with for you.  They're all just so stinkin cute and I'd hate for you to miss out on them!
