Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential - Scene It!

We love all the participation we've been getting over at the Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential Challenge Blog! What great entries you've given us to all look at and inspire us! This week we challenge you to Scene It! Our sponsor this week si Squigglyfly so stop on over and leave them some love!

Mixing and matching stamps has always been a challenge for me. This week, I took two stamps from a brand new collection, Winter Wonderland from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and think it came out pretty well! Have a look:

This is my version of "Ice Time"! I like to think of it as a big sister taking her little sister out to skate and having a bit of hot cocoa while she watches her younger sister glide on the ice. This is a frequent happening up here in Maine and it seems like that just might happen a bit sooner than normal this year. It may snow this weekend!

I colored Coco Puff with her hot chocolate and Skater with copics and highlighted them with Stickles, Smooch, Diamond Glaze and Shimmerz. The papers are from the Eskimo Kisses pack from BasicGrey and I added some Kaisercraft pearls to the corners. I think they both came out pretty great!

Now run on over to the Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential Challenge Blog and take a look at the great scene cards my Sister Spotlight Diva's have come up with! I promise you you'll not be disappointed! You can see all their blogs on my sidebar so go give them some love. We'd love to see how you Scene It! So pull out some of those stamps that you know will go together and show your stuff off! I don't want you to miss out on the Squigglyfly prize when all you have to do is make a card! Have a great weekend!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

Did you ever have a collection that you just can't quit playing with? That's how I feel about this sweet, new Winter Wonderland Collection from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! They're all available for purchase now so make sure you head on over and pick up your set so you can come and play with us!

When I first saw this sweet Santa, "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" just popped into my head! I kept humming it while I was working on this card! Talk about inspiration! I just couldn't stop working on him and thinking snow and everyone knows how much I hate snow!

This cutie is colored with copics and I added some stickles to his suit and used Liquid Pearls on his hair and beard. White Polar Flower Soft just is just everywhere and I think is just perfect for this card! I added some Diamond Glaze to Santa's boots and all their eyes and used my MS snowflake punches and added some Bella Baubles to the corners. Smooch is perfect for his buttons and buckle and the ribbon on the packages. Love the shimmer it gives!

All the extras on this stamp just make it so endearing. Isn't the sweet bird sitting on Santa's shoulder too sweet? And if you can resist this sweet little pixie squirrel, then there's no hope for you!

And isn't this sweet little deer just adorable? I love so much about this stamp and this collection.

I hope you head right over to Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and pick this set up! It's way too cute to pass up!

Nobody Puts Kringlet in the Corner!

This is one of the most exciting blog posts for me since I've been back stamping. I get to start off our blog hop for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design's new Winter Wonderland Collection from Victoria Case! I'm so excited to be part of this great, fun and exciting event! So let's get started and I hope you're ready for some absolutely fabulous projects and images!

My favorite time of the year is the Christmas holiday season. I love getting a jump start and one of my favorite things about the season is holiday candy. We have it everywhere - on tables, kitchen counters, on the dash in my car, you name it and you'll find Christmas candy around. and it's always front and center stage, never hidden in a corner. That's why when I got the opportunity to present this little cutie, I knew she would never be made to be put in a corner! Meet Kringlet! She's one of the new stamps from the Winter Wonderland Collection from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and I think she's fabulous! My Kringlet and all the other fabulous stamps will be available for purchase from Susana tomorrow, Friday, October 16th! I don't want you to miss a single one!

This sweetie has so much that I love about the season. She's a sweetie pop that gives her all, she's giving her heart. She reminds me so much of both of my girls and their generosity during the holiday season. I stamped her with Staz-On and colored her with distressed inks. I cut her out and mounted her on the new Poinsettia nestabilities and used some velvet red paper and embossed paper and gold linen paper. I love the rich colors!

I tied a wide red tulle ribbon around a clear glass bowl and filled her with some peppermints. I finished her off by adding some Stickles to her dress and hat and Diamond Glaze to her heart and a bit of Smooch to her hat and sleeves. How cute is she? It's that exciting time for me when I get to bring a gorgeous image to life and present it to the world. Hang on to your hats because this little cutie, Kringlet, is going to have your running for your Christmas elf hats!

Doesn't she have the greatest, sweetest face? I love that you can color her eyes and I added a tiny bit of Diamond Glaze to her eyes. I could color her all day long!

Before you go, tell me what's you're favorite holiday treat? I love peppermints, like you can't tell! Now head on over to see Danni and see what great stamp she gets to present to you!

Time for Some Cocoa!

Happy Columbus Day to Americans and Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends! Sorry I'm a bit late with getting this up on the blog, but it's been a pretty hectic couple of days for me. I've been fighting a horrible headache after falling, but I'm fine.

When I woke up this morning, the fall air has truly hit New England and the first thing I thought was "Hot Cocoa!"

When I saw this tutorial for a hot cocoa packet holder on Suzanne Dean's blog, Scrap Bitz, I knew I wanted to make it. Today seems like the perfect day and I think the Hearty Thanksgiving stamp from Belles N' Whistles is perfect for this project! You can see the instructions here. I'd love to see you give this a try! You can use it for all kinds of things! So tell me, what's your favorite Hot Cocoa? Me, I'm a Swiss Miss Instant with tiny marshmallows!

I colored these cuties with copics and added some Stickles and Diamond Glaze to the pumpkins and flowers. I also added some raffia along the bottom with a button with Scrapper's Floss through it. The Prima flowers on the top are set upon some silk leaves.

Aren't their faces just the sweetest things? I could color them up all day!

Here's a side view of the holder.

This is the top. I added a BasicGrey magnet to keep the container closed.

Hope you enjoy making this and remember to post your project in our new Gallery!

Ms MyTime! And We All Need It!

Don't you love it when you make time for yourself? We all need to do that and what makes us better for ourselves always makes what we give others so much more worthwhile. If there's something I'd love to pass on to others, it's that we need to find MyTime. Susana's Custom Art and Card Design make it easy to have some me time! And here's one way:

Ms. MyTime
is from the Every Day Gal Collection by Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and these gals are fabulous! She has some of my favorite things embodied in her - a great bath tub, pretty bottles with lotions and fragrances to make you feel special, candles, a great fuzzy robe and sassy shoes!

I colored her with copics and added some Sparkley Fluff and Polar White Flower Soft. After I cut her out with my nestabilities, I added some Bella Baubles to the corners and to the middle of the flowers. I used some of my favorite paper, Euphoria by BasicGrey and added a bit of design to it with my SD Fancy Lace edger. I added some Shimmerz to the tub and to the wall. I thought the Susanament sentiment that comes with this set was perfect!

Isn't she just fabulous?

So go and take some Me Time! You not only need it but you deserve it! But before you get your Me Time, get ready to be amazed because we're going to be having a great release of the Winter Wonderland Collection from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!
