Roses on Paper DT and Whiff of Joy Challenge
While I detest snow, I've got to admit that it's just beautiful when it's falling. I think Lizzie with Muff reminds me of the love I have for snow. She's so soft and sweet looking all dressed up in her wool outfit and her ear and hand muffs! What a beauty she is!
I made Lizzie for the Design Team Challenge for the Roses on Paper Group at Paper Craft Planet and also for the Whiff of Joy challenge. We were challenged to create a Christmas card using a Whiff of Joy, Magnolia or Stampavie stamps. This beauty came from Summer at Roses on Paper and I can't get enough of her! When I got the Winter Wonderland paper from Dovecraft from Susana at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, I knew what colors I was going to do her in. Susana's is the only place in the states you can order this paper from and it's in very limited supply so e-mail her for the availability of this great selection of paper. It's absolutely luscious to feel and the colors are just so rich and full.
Winter is still my least favorite season, but Lizzie and Winter Wonderland made it a bit easier to take! Thanks for looking

Muffins and Bunnies
Getting out the Christmas decorations got me thinking about traditions. Nichole has decided that she's going to plan the living room and I'm really curious to how many of the things I used to do made an impression on her. One tradition I can't let go of is making blueberry muffins on Christmas morning. When I saw Tilda with Rolls at Summer's shop, Roses on Paper, I knew I had to have her because she reminded me of my girls in their nightgowns Christmas morning chowing down.
I colored her with copics and mounted her on card stock cut out with my circle nestabilities. The Papers are Euphoria from Basic Grey and the flowers are Primas. I was so excited because on her socks and on her basket I used Flower Soft. I love how she came out. You can purchase everything you need for her from Summer! Go say "Hello"!
When my girls were little we got them a bunny for Easter. He was gray and we named him Smokey. The girls loved him and would screech around the house after him. He was great fun till he got out! This cutie, Fairy With Bunny, can be picked up from Susana at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. When I saw her, pansies came to mind and purple just popped right out at me! I love her beautiful face. Her eyes are so entrancing!
I colored her with copics and used my Atyou Spica Clear glitter pen in her hair on on the flowers. I put crystal Stickles on her wings and Dew Drops on the corners. I stamped a flourish on the purple card stock with my new VersaMark Dazzle in Champagne and embossed it with clear embossing powder. It doesn't show very well in the picture, but it has the prettiest, lightest tink of sparkle to the background. I just adore her and hope you all go visit Susana's shop. She's got fabulous stamps and accessories in her store and don't miss your chance for her great web candy. And don't forget Suzanne's blog candy! Great, calorie-free stuff there!
Well, I'm off to bed. Hope everyone is having a great time this time of the year with their own traditions and faerie magic.
