Home for the Hoilidays

You know that Friday means Fabulous Freebie Friday over at the Paper Craft Planet Group for Sassy Studio Designs!  We've got two fabulous backgrounds again and this time it's Home for the Holidays or The Grand Ballroom and they're both so fun, fabulous and versatile!  Here's mine:

Isn't this fabulous?  You can use it for just abut anything!  Add some great Flower Soft to the trees and change the color of the berries on the wreath and you've got a spring background and color the trees those lush, fall colors and it's October for you!  I added Santa's Helper which you can get in the store for today and then she's going to be retired to the vault.  Run over to the Sassy Studio Designs store and stock up on these sweet Sassys that are being discontinued.

This project is colored with a combination of copics and Spectrum Noir markers.  I used some Smooch on the bells and berries on the wreath and some stickles on her dress, hat and bow.  The trees have a combination of glitter and flock on them.  The gems and ribbon is from my stash and the papers are from DCWV Autumn Harvest pack.

Sorry for being so short a post this time (some of you are probably glad for that!), but it's been a long, busy week for me.  Thanks for stopping by and scoot on over to the Paper Craft Planet Group for the two backgrounds since they're only available for 24 hours, and then over to the store to get some fabulous images to showcase with the backgrounds!

Use that Stash!

Here's my project I created for this challenge:

I just love that song, Baby it's cold outside and this Santa Baby snow woman reminded me of that!  Me, I love the hot weather but I don't have any control over the snow that will undoubtedly end up covering Ohio sometime this year.

This fabulous sassy babe is Santa Baby and she's from Fresh Brewed Designs.  Isn't she something?  Love her and Heather is absolutely fabulous over there!  She's colored with my copics and I've added some white Flower Soft and Stickles to her hat and dress and on the ground around her.  The flowers, papers, gems and lace are all from my stash, but I've had the flowers a while and totally forgot about them!  Come on and show us your stash!

Hope you enjoy her and can't wait to see what treasures you have lurking in your stash!

Christmas With A Twist for Elphine House Australia!

I am so excited to participate in my first Elphine House Australia Design Team Challenge!  Elisabeth Bell's sweet, adorable illustrations just speak to my heart and I'm so thrilled to be presenting her images to you again and I can't say enough good things about Helen and Lew!  They're fabulous and totally rock!  Oh, and the design team is so talented and welcoming!  It's great to be around some old friends and making new ones!  Yep, I'm probably over the top but I love these images.  I can't wait to have you join our challenge of Christmas With A Twist and that means taking an image and use non-traditional colors with it.  I decided to use Danny Boy Christmas Gifts and think he's so stinkin cute!

Christmas presents are so fun to wrap.  There's something about the gorgeous paper, the shiny, sparkly ribbon, and the unknown of what's inside the box.  My girls used to love to help wrap presents and Nichole still does!  The day after Christmas, she goes shopping and scoops up on all the deals on paper, bows and boxes.

This cutie pie is colored with copics and cut out with Nestabilities.  I added some Sticikles to his cap and the ribbon and bows and touched the edges with Distressed Inks.  The snowflakes were made with Martha Stewart punches and covered with fine glitter.  The papers are from DCWV's Artic Wishes Paper Pack and the gems are from my stash.

I just love him and could eat him up!  Can't you just see this sweetie being so excited to help with the Christmas wrapping?  Just love his pj's!  We all get new pj's every year for Christmas and I'll bet his have that same, new smell to them.

I love how the snowflakes came out.

Here's a peek on the inside.

You can see the band I made with a Martha Stewart edger punch.

Judy, I mixed things up a little bit and added some snowflakes to the inside!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my twist on Christmas colors.  I hope you'll stop by our blog and show us your non-traditional Christmas palette!

My Grafico for Tuesday Throwdown and Emma Gifts of Love

I do love every other Tuesday because that means I get to do a project for Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are being sponsored by My Grafico!  They have some fabulous images and you can find out all the details on the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge blog.  We are challenging you to use extra layers and I tried to pour them on!

I love gift giving and how pretty little girls are when they get all dressed up.  I fell in love with Emma Gifts of Love from Elphine House Australia and had to ink her up and use her!  She could be any one of my three girls when they were young or my three granddaughters on any holiday.

I colored the gorgeous butterfly from My Grafico and the beautiful Miss Emma with copics and used my nestabilities for the frame and oval.  I had to give that holiday dress some Stickles to make her sparkle and also added some to her present.  I stitched around my layers and added a gorgeous embellishment from Close to My Heart.  I used some distressed inks to the edge of Emma and to the inside and I made the flowers and added the branches from a Martha Stewart punch.  The lace and pearls are from my stash.  I love this gorgeous paper from K&Company.

Here's a close up of the beautiful brass embellishment.  Love says it all, don't you think?

Here's a sneak peek of the inside with the side view.

Isn't she just the prettiest thing?

Here's the inside.  I love this butterfly on the paper.  All shiny and fabulous!

Hope you enjoyed your visit here today!  Make sure to stop over at Tuesday Throwdown and see what my fabulously talented designing team buddies have to inspire you with.  Make sure to join our challenge and show us your layers!
