Devil Debbi for Sassy Studio Designs's Fabulous Freebie Friday!

Oh how I love Fridays!  Friday's are so fabulous over at the Sassy Studio Design's Paper Craft Planet group  that it's called Fabulous Freebie Friday!  Lindsay has outdone herself with another two for the price of none images this week!  Make sure to hurry over because these gorgeous babies are only available for 24 hours and then they're gone.  Regan, our fearless fabulous leader, challenged us to use texture with our little devil.   There's always an angel and a devil in every situation and this week I get to share the devilish side of things!  Let me introduce you to the Devil Debbi!

She looks too sweet to be devilish, doesn't she?  Well, she's the devil for sure!  She's so sweet she can talk you into anything!  She's colored with copics and I added Stickles to her dress, spear and tail and Glossy Accents to her boots.  Black boots are always trouble!  The flowers are from Recollections and the gorgeous crystal swirl is from Close to My Heart (Thanks so much, Bec!).  The lace is from Cloud 9 and this gorgeous paper is Black Currant from DCWV.  Just love this pack!  It's hard to tell, but I used my devine swirls cuttlebug folder on the black and beige paper and my Nestabilities to cut this devious thing out.

Here's a peek from one side.

I love this side because it shows the foil on the paper and how it reflects on the fabric.  Gorgeous paper, isn't it?

I showed a side view of her and here's the inside for my stamping sister, Judy!

Make sure to hope over to the group and see what the other Fabettes have in store for you.  I promise you'll be inspired and never disappointed!

Make sure to come back on Sunday for our blog hop we're going to have to celebrate now having 800 members in the group!  Believe me, they'll be some hot, sexy viewings, prizes and who knows what else.  It's theme is 50 Shades of Sassy so who knows what you'll find!  Have a great day and great weekend!

Here is my ORANGE & BROWN project:

This is Scotty Scarecrow and I think he's fabulous!  He's colored with my new Close to My Heart Markers and I love them!  I used a little bit of Stickles on his hair and collar and some Glossy Accents on his eyes.  The papers are from the Autumn and Halloween DCWV stack and the baubles are from my stash.  I used Wild Honey Distressed Inks around him and on the inside and cut him out with Nestabilities.

Here is a peek of the inside and here's the complete inside.

Make sure to stop by the Pause Dream Enjoy Blog and see what my other crafting buddies have come up with.  There's lots of inspiration there, that's for sure!  I'd love to see your take on the Orange and Brown Challenge.

Big Announcement and a New Card to Share!

First off, Happy Halloween to everyone!  I know I should have a witch or haunted house or something up, but I've got a little cutie pie and some great news to share if that helps.

Here's a glimpse of her:

Everyone who knows me or knows my stamping knows that there's two genres I totally love - the sass and the sweet. I'm so excited to now be able to share that I have been blessed to be asked to join the design team family of Elphine House and am so excited to be designing with Miss Elisabeth Bell's gorgeous, stunning images again!  As if that's not sweet enough, I get to design with two of my favorite past designing sisters again!  Lynda and Vicki, just can't wait to see where this journey takes us.  I am so excited to work with the other outstandingly talented artists on the design team and can't wait to begin presenting with them for all of you.  And to Helen and Lew, thanks so much for having faith in me and my crafting ability.  It means the world to me.  Stamping is just so sweet, fun, and exciting for me right now because I get to work with sweetness at Elphine House and with the sass over at Sassy Studio Designs!  Two great teams and two fabulous, exciting, fun stamping families!  It just doesn't get any better!  This is one dream I don't want to ever wake up from!

My mother asked me to do a card for the office at the hearing center where she got her hearing aids.  Mom has a huge picture window in the living room with bird feeders outside that attracts every bird that is around. She loves to sit and watch them come, eat, and then fly off.  After getting her aids, she now can hear them chirp with happiness as they fill up on her premium bird feed!  When I saw this cutie pie New Friends from Elisabeth Bell for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, I knew she's be perfect for this card!

Isn't she just the most precious thing?  She's colored with copics and I added just a little bit of stickles to her barrette and patch (it was really hard not to throw them everywhere!).  The paper is from Basic Grey and I used my nestabilities for the circle and ovals.  The pearls are from Studio 112 and the lace is from my stash.  Here's the layout I used:

This sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and I just love it!  I'm entering her in their challenge and I think I may have to use it again!

Here's just a glimpse of the inside:

Now from the other side:

Judy, here's the inside just for you!

Mom wrote a sweet personal note on the inside and it was very heartfelt and gracious.

I hope everyone has a safe time out tonight if they get to go trick or treating.  My sweet Lainie Loo is going as a Lady bug, Allie is a bunny rabbit, and Emma, she's the Princess Ariel!  I miss seeing them on Halloween and hope they get lots and lots of candy!  Stay safe and beware of the witches and ghouls!

Creations by AR for Tuesday Throwdown!

It's Tuesday and you know what that means?  It's time for another challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown!  We're being sponsored by the oh so talented Adela at Creations by AR!  Making 3d projects is so much fun!  It always surprises me what you can do with a little inginuity and paper.  Well, in my case, with instructions and paper!  Adela has a way of making something that looks so difficult and gorgeous into something very simple and easy to follow and still gorgeous.  Our challenge was to show our team spirit with one of Adela's gorgeous templates.

I hope I didn't jinx the Detroit Tigers with my project!  I have really enjoyed watching them play this season and while they didn't win the World's Series, they sure did play with heart and brought a lot of excitement to my part of the world!  Go get 'em next year, Tigers!  Here's the front of my Slotted Gift Box:

Isn't this too cute?  This slotted gift box is perfect for so many things - gift cards, photos, cash, you name it and it will fit in it!  The papers are from my stash and the base paper for the card is Co'redinations.  The gems and ribbon are from my stash and I made the flowers used on the inside with my cricut cartridge and added some branches from a Martha Stewart punch.  The image is Sassy Pin Up Kitty from Sassy Studio Designs and is colored with copics and Spectrum Noir markers.  A little tiger has to shimmer so you know I added some Stickles to her outfit and you can't tell, but she has Glossy Accents on her pumps.

I added a cute Mickey Mouse card that I received as an advertisement in the mail to show how perfectly a gift card fits into this cute little box and the box is so easy peasy to put together!  Like I said, Adela gives very easy to follow instructions with her templates.  Thanks so much, Adela!

Here is a side view of the box.  I added some of the tiger patterned paper to the side and the ribbon holds the box together.  And here's a view of the inside of the empty box.

I had the best time working with Adela's templates and making this box!  Make sure that you stop by the Tuesday Throwdown blog to see what my ever so talented design team buddies have to inspire you to show your team spirit!  Let's see it!  Rah!  Rah!  Go team!
