Oh Say Can You See Blog Hop for SNR Card Universe!

I'm so glad you could join the SNR Card Universe Blog Hop! If you came from Ceal Pritchett, then you are on the right track! If you didn't you may want to hop to SNR Card Universe and start at the beginning.

Oh Say Can You see has a lot of my favorite summer things - cook outs with family and friends, time at the beach, parades, and fireworks! Summer is myu favorite time and the 4th of July is such a great holiday because it's all about fun and independence! Here are a few of my favorite summer time cards to share with you. I hope you enjoy them! Here is my Beach

Now on to the individual cards:

I love swimming and who doesn't love just floating around in an inner tube? Tilda has some glossy accents on the tube to make it stand out and I love red and yellow together. And stickles on her wings!

Sure wish I could surf and be that carefree like Billy is! I want to ride that glistening wave and I added a bit of stickles for the water to make it glisten!

I love digi stamps as much as I love summer! I think this beach beauty is so adorable and I love the Prima Flowers! And they're my two favorite colors, Aqua and Peach!

Now to continue on with the blog hop, be on your way to visit the talented Jean!

Here is the card I love for the 4th of July:

I love baseball and this one just screans Americana to me. Happy 4th of July to you all and let freedom ring!

Roses on Paper Design Team Challenge- Gate Card!

It's time for another Roses on Paper Design Team Challenge and what a beaut we have! The ever talented Jodi issued the challenge to do a gate card and what fun this was! Summer carries the Wisteria paper from BasicGrey and I knew exactly which papers and what stamp I wanted to do for this challenge. Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers and I've tired to grow a lilac bush but have failed terribly at it. So I get my lilacs where I can even if it's from a cutie like Tilda!

Picking Lilacs is from Magnolias and you can pick them up from Summer at Roses on Paper. I adore these sweeties and I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I used a bit of Glossy Accents on her dress and ribbons in her hair and added a bit of Flower Soft to accent the lilacs. She's cut out with nestabilities and I used my textured cuttlebug folder on the front to give it a bit of dimension. I love the Bling and Wisteria Brads and my new flourish punch. I think they added just the right touch.

I left the Notecard shape on the inside blank so this beauty could be used for any occasion and layered the inside with another piece from the Wisteria collection. I just love how she came out!

So make sure you stop over at our challenge blog and see all the gorgeous creations that my designing sisters have created for you. I just know you'll be blown away! Hope everyone has a great week and don't forget to stop and smell the lilacs!

Card Ingredients:

Picking Lilacs from Magnolia, Wisteria Paper Collection and Brads from BasicGrey, BasicGrey Bling, Prismacolor pencils, OMS, Prima Flowers, Stickles, ribbon, nestabilities, Notecard die from SU.

Try It Out Tuesday - Red, White and Blue!

Sorry for this being late, but I had to work at school later last night and when I got home and was going to work on my card, Tiffany and Chris and the baby showed up early from Virginia for the weekend! Gotta have as much Nana time as I can get. We
re going to have a wonderful weekend and celebrate my granddaughters first birthdays together. What a wonderful celebration!

When I think of the 4th of July, I think of two things - barbeques and the beach! Two of life's most precious pleasures if you ask me! The barbeques are held with friends and family and the beach can be a great thing to do with friends or on your own. I've been talking with my friend Sonya so much lately and it's brought back such great memories of both of these fun activities. We'd go to the beach and spend so much time out in the sun playing and relaxing and having a blast. Loved the swimsuits back then, but I really liked my body much more back then than I do now!

It's Tuesday and that's Try It Out Tuesday at Follow Your Heart! Suzanne challenged us on Susana's Design Team for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD), to make a card with red, white and blue and I knew exactly the stamp I wanted to do and what I wanted to do with it. I chose Roxy from Rubber Romance and designed the card in the shape of a beach ball! Yep, I'd chose the beach with friends or by myself! I colored her with copics and used my spica glitter pen for the pole on the umbrella and added some Glossy Accents to the umbrella and her yellow polka dot bikini to give it some shine. I added some white Smooch to the inside of the umbrella. Love my new flower punch (I need to pick up the larger punches too!) and put some rhinestones, red, white and blue, in the middle and tied the side together with a red bow. Pretty easy, but I think she came out great!

We have someone really special joining us at SCACD for this week and that's Jana, our Spotlight Stamper! Make sure you stop over and give her some love! And drop over at Follow Your Heart and take a look at the gorgeous and fun cards and projects my fellow DT buddies have come up with. They're absolutely fabulous! And until later, make sure you take care of that itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini!

Card Ingredients:

Roxy by Rubber Romance, Smooch, Kaisercraft Rhinestones, Glossy Accents, nestabilities, cricut, EK Success Flower Power punch, Spica Glitter Pen, ribbon, copics.

Scrappy Frogs Challenge - Arrrgh!

I've got to apologize because I thought for sure that this posted but I was so wrong. And I loved working on this cutie! I've fallen in love with two things - digital backgrounds, Dustin Pike and dragons! OK, so it's three and I can't count, but when Scrappy Frogs's Challenge Blog gave us a pirate background by the generous and talented Dustin Pike to work with for our challenge, I thought I'd pull out a Cat's Pajama set that I got and have been dying to play with, but this sweet dragon defending his ship stole my heart! I'm now a convert of the dinausaur family!

All of these sweeties are from Dustin Pike's blog and are digital stamps. I love them because you just print and color! How much simplier can you ask for? I colored the background with copics and the barrel, box and dragon with my Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I added some gold Smooch and some Spica Glitter and Glossy Accents and thought it was just right. I used Scrapper's Floss instead of ribbon because I liked the rustic look it gave and put a button rather than tying a bow for this. I distressed the edges and used my SU picture tab punch for the corners. Remember, I've been around girls for too long so bear with me while I'm going for the rough and tough look! And I did get to use my Cat's Pajama's set for the sentiment. Just love this card!

Make sure you stop over at Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog and see the fun creations my design team buddies came up with! What fun we all had using this background! So make sure to take part in the challenge for a fantastic prize! And Froggy, feel better! We miss you terribly!
