Cowgirl Marci

Denim is part of our lives.  I don't know of anyone who doesn't have something in denim, either a pair of jeans, a skirt, shirt, jumper, and those fabulous overalls!  I go through phases where I wear jeans all the time, then a shirt, than a skirt, and I'd wear overalls all the time and not care what anyone thinks!

Western stamps of cowgirls have always been one of my favorite style of stamps.  When I saw Cowgirl Marci at La-La Land Crafts, I had to have her!  I used her to participate in the box challenge over at the La-La Land Craft facebook page and used a tutorial that my great friend and stamping idol, Suzanne Dean, did on making a Hot Cocoa container!

Isn't this cutie just adorable?  I love her lasso!  I colored her with my copics and Spectrum Noir pens, added some Stickles to her hat and petticoat and her bandana, and some distressed ink in Antique Linen around the edges of my little cow poke.  She was cut out with Spellbinders circles and scalloped circles and I used my Martha Stewart edger on the top flap.  The papers are from one of my favorite paper designers, Anna Griffin, called Fleur Rouge Collection.  Love the colors!  I tied some red and white baker's twine around the top to close it.

This is a close up of this little roper.

Here is one side view:

And the other side view.

I love doing these type of projects and hope to do a lot more of them!  I love filling them with all sorts of things, like Crystal Lite packets, different types of candy, stationary, bath and beauty products, just about anything!  Give the tutorial a try and go over and pick up some of these sweet images from La-La Land Crafts!  Have a great, ranchy day!

Tilda Writing Diary

Remember those diaries some of us used to write in that had the little band and gold key that held all of our secrets, hopes, and dreams?  I was thinking about getting one for my two granddaughters that are four.  I know they can't totally write in them now, but it would give them  a sense that there is a place where all of your dreams and hearts desires can go to live, even if it's on paper.

When I saw Tilda Writing Diary, I knew I had to have her!  I bought her when she first came out, but haven't inked her up until now.  It's back to school time and so many girls and guys will be having things that they want to remember and place their thoughts about their new adventures so I thought it was time to color her up.

She's colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and I really loved working with them!  I used my Spellbinders for the dies, and this gorgeous paper is from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Market Street pad.  Just love it!

Isn't she a beauty?  The flowers are from Reflections and the pearls are from Michael's.  And yep, she's got some Stickles on her socks and petticoat and some Diamond Glaze on her dress.

Here's a peak on the inside from the right.

And now the left side!

And Judy, as promised, the inside!

I love working with my Tilda's again and I'm entering this cutie in the following challenges:
Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog

Hope everyone has a great day.  I'm crafting and coloring and all is well in the world.  I think I may write a little bit.  Now to find a diary!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge - China Honey

Today is a very exciting day for me because I get to finally share that I'm now a Design Team Member for Tuesday Throwndown Challenge Blog!  The ladies here have been so warm and welcoming and are so uber talented that I'm so excited and honored to be creating with them!  Thanks so much, Team A, for making my addition to your team so easy and inspiring!

The challenge this week is sponsored by My Creative Classroom and we were challenged to use photo corners or decorative corner punches.  Here's my take on corners:

For this challenge, I used this cutie pop, China Honey from Sassy Studio Designs and made a little bag that is perfect for some small miniature chocolates!  You can find the instructions here.  My beauty is colored with copics and I added some to her top and Diamond Glaze to her eyes.  Since I needed some new corners to go with my new design team, I picked up Spellbinders Parisian Motif and used the corners and the small medallion.  I added some gold pearls to the corners.  The papers are from The Far East paper pack from DCWV.

Here's a close up and isn't she a beauty?

I love how she came out.  Isn't the paper I used on the side just gorgeous?

Join us over at Tuesday Throwdown and see the beautiful and inspiring projects my talented Design Team members have waiting for you!  Come and show off your corners!  Mine are international (Parisian and my image is Chinese!).  What are yours?

Sexy Lil Naughty Devil Girl

Work has been kicking my butt this past week and I've missed posting.  Because I haven't been posting doesn't mean I haven't been crafting.  I've been working on a couple of things that I'll be posting this week.  Make sure to stop by tomorrow evening because I've got some very exciting news to share!

As for sharing, I want to share a little bit of my love for Halloween with you.  I love everything that has to do with Halloween!  You get dressed up, can be anything you want to be, and you get to get candy to boot!  How much better can it be?  I found some great artists over at Scrapbook Stamp Society and I adore their work!  Here is a clip board I did using Sexy Lil Naughty Devil Girl from the oh so talented Heather Valentin for the challenge over at Scrapbook Stamp Society's Blog.  It was to make a journal, notebook, address book, etc., and since I do a lot of to do lists, I thought about a clipboard.  Hope it doesn't offend anyone!

Isn't she really naughty looking?  I love her dress and those little horns, well I think she's more naughty than nice!

She's colored with a combination of my copics and my new Spectrum Noir markers.  I really liked using them and will be adding more of them to my collection!  The papers are from the Immortal Love paper stack from DCWV and her eyes and lips have Diamond Glaze added and her dress and spear are covered with Stickles.  You know I love me some bling!  The aqua glitter ribbon is from American Crafts and the others are from my stash.

I really loved making this clipboard!  Altering things is so much fun!  She was absolutely delightful to work up.  And Judy, sorry but I don't have an inside to show you!

Hope you enjoy her and I'll chat with you tomorrow!
