Respect the Boobies!

And I don't mean those stupid people out in the world!  Cancer is just a terrible, horrific, nasty thing that I hate as much as I love my sweet grandbabies.  It ravages beautiful, kind, loving people and I think it has to be destroyed.  It's affected way too many loved ones and friends of mine.  When I lived in Maine, the school that I worked at always participated in Relay for Life and working with people on that event was one of the most meaningful things I've ever been involved in.  This disease in whatever form it takes needs to be defeated and I walk in Relay for Life for those who can't.  Since I'm not involved in research, I leave that for those with the knowledge and brains to deal with, I participate when and where I can to bring attention to this thing I hate with a passion.

Saturated Canary has a beautiful free digi called Boobie Love and this is my take on it:

I've got to admit that with all the gorgeous Saturated Canary cards out there, I was a bit intimidated to put a card out there, but I just sucked it up and wanted to share my vision of this cute pixie.  I colored her with copice and added some Diamond Glaze to her eyes and lips, pink Stickles to her pink ribbon, and distressed ink around the edge.  The swirls are an old Sizzix die and the flowers are from Reflections and the ends are touched with of course, my Crystal Stickles.  Gotta blink while you're showing some love to the bobbies!  The gorgeous paper is from Making Memories Sabrina stack and the ribbon from Cloud 9.  I love the cut out Spellbinders and have been using them way too much lately!  Here she is close up:

Here is the inside.

I hope you enjoy this card and thanks for listening to me up on my soap box.  I hope everyone has a beautiful and healthy day!

Got Beach?

I do love me some beach!  Sun, fun, the smell of suntan lotion (even though I know I should be saying sun block!), a towel, an ice cold Pepsi, and some cold water to jump into is my kind of the best time!  When I saw this cutie, Wryn Beach Babe, from Tiddly Inks,  I knew for sure she was mine!  I wanted to do her in some bright colors so I chose red and yellow.  Such a great summer combination.

I colored her with copics and used some ribbon, great Basic Grey papers, Nestabilities, and some crystal swirls and Cloud 9 gems on this cutie pie.  I used some Distressed inks on the background and a cuttlebug embossing folder on the papers. The bow looked like it needed something so I added some gem bridal floral embellishments.  It reminds me of sea glass and when my girls were in girl scouts and we used to camp at our jamboree, we would go out on the beach and look for sea glass.  Not so sure if I like that addition, but I'm going to let them stay!

Here is this sweetie up close:

This is a side view:

I love this baby and am going to enter her in the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown
Southern Girls Challenge

I'm off to put a couple of other cards together and enjoy watching the rest of the Olympics.  Have a great day!
