Emma by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD

Ever find an artist or stamp line you just can't get enough of? Well, that's me with Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! I am having the best time creating with these gorgeous stamps and every time I do one of them, I want to do it again in a different way. Crazy, but I can't help it. I'm totally in stamping love! And I've got Susana from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD) to thank for that!

This is Emma and I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with copics and Bic markers. The gorgeous paper is from Graphic 45 and I absolutely adore it and think it's so delicate and feminine and just right for Emma. I used my dotted swiss cuttlebug folder (it's my favorite!) to give some texture to the background and added a bit of organza ribbon from my stash and this beautiful Mulberry flower from Petaloo and a touch of Smooch to her ankle bracelet and some Kaisercraft Pearls (can't decide if this or the BasicGrey Bling or my Oyster Bella Baubles are my favorite embellishment!) to the corners and spritzed her with Shimmerz Spritz in Baby's Breath. I love the sheen it gives to the card. The picture below shows it off a little bit better. I had to add some Glossy Accents to her headband and some stickles to her top and was so pleased with how she came out.

And isn't her face just the most precious thing? I could look at her for days!

I hope you enjoy this sweetie and remember you can pick Emma and the rest of the collection up from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I would love to see what everyone is making with them. I'll have another one of them up on Tuesday for our Try It Out Tuesday. Now to decide which one!

Card Ingredients:

Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog - Magnolia Stamps!

Don't you just love yellows and purples together? And I think they match some of my favorite BasicGrey paper, Wisteria. Our challenge over at Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog this week was to create something using a Magnolia stamp and that was right up my alley! I had colored up this Tilda with Tulips by Magnolia earlier that I got from Summer at Roses on Paper and just hadn't put her together. By the way, Summer is a great place to get your Magnolia stamps from! Well, I took care of this baby today for this challenge!

Tilda with Tulips was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. I cut her out and used this gorgeous Wisteria paper as a background for her. I popped her up with some foam dots and sat her on this beautiful yellow ribbon. The flowers are punched with my Retro Flower punch for EK Success and I placed some BasicGrey Bling in the center of the flowers and on the bottom corner. The butterfly is my MS punch and I had to stickle the flowers, her socks, a tiny bit on the dress and on the butterfly wings. And a touch of glossy Accents makes her hair ribbon look smooth and silky.

I love how the flowers came out and I used some Smooch on the middle of them. Just so pretty!

I hope you all stop over at Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog and enter your Magnolia card with us! You get the chance to win a great Magnolia Stamp! Not much could be better than that! And make sure to visit my very talented Design Team sister's blogs and see their great creations! They're absolutely fabulous!

We have another rainy day here in Maine and it looks like the weekend isn't going to be much better. Maybe that will translate into some crafting time. We'll see. I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll see you over at the blog!

Card Ingredients:

Tilda with Tulips by Magnolias, Smooch, copics, BasicGrey Bling, Wisteria Paper Pack by BasicGrey, stickles, EK Success Retro Flower Punch, MS Butterfly punch.

Annika Reads a Book!

It's been way too long swince I've read. I always say I want to make more time for it but I just haven't lately. I want to remedy that and I think this sweet Annika from Roses on Paper can be just the inspiration for me! She looks to me like she's found a couple of her favorite books and I think I'll do the same!

Annika is from The Greeting Farms Stamps that you can pick up from Summer at Roses on Paper. I colored her with copics and added just a tiny bit of Glossy Accents to her barrette in her hair and well, I had to stickle her skirt and the flowers! I think I have a glitz addiction! The flowers are Prima Flowers and the paper is from BasicGrey and I colored the ribbon with my copics. I added a few Dew Drops around the corners and think she's just adorable!

Well, since I've seen the new Harry Potter movie, I think I'm going to pluck up the courage to reread the last book. It's the only one I haven't re-read way too many times so it's calling my name. So go pick up a book and get caught up in something bigger than ourselves. Let one of your favorite authors take you to a place outside of your own world. And tell me what you're reading! I'm always on the outlook for something new to enjoy!

Try It Out Tuesday #28 - Thank You!

It's Try It Out Tuesday over at Follow Your Heart, Susana's Custom Art and Card Design's store blog and our extremely talented leader, Suzanne, challenged us to create a Thank You card using one of the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. I have been dying to color up this cutie gal ever since I laid eyes on her!

This little flower sprite, Spunkette, one of the exclusive stamps from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, just melts my Spunketteheart. When I took one look at her little dainty petal skirt, I knew I wanted to make her in colors to go with that gorgeous Wisteria paper from BasicGrey. I think she's just adorable!

I colored her with copics and then highlighted her yellow flowers with my souffle pen and I used some Glossy Accents with a little bit of fine glitter to give her petal skirt a dewy look. I used part of one of the Susanaments, for her sentiment and her sweet top is touched up with Smooch and I love her stickled wings and yellow flower tips! I distressed around the oval with a cocoa brown and colored my ribbon with cream copics. Give her a few Kaisercraft Pearls and spritz that cutie pop up with some Baby's Breath Shimmerz Spritz and I think she's ready to give some sweet thanks to someone.

Isn't her little face just the cutest thing? Gosh, I want her flitting around out in my garden
I just can't wait to show you some more of this gorgeous collection, exclusive to Susana's shop. Oh, they babies I've got on my craft table to present to you!

Before I forget and speaking of Smooch, Susana has the latest colors in the store and ready to ship! You can see them here.

Please make sure you stop to give special thanks to someone you know and love, someone who has done something for you that they may not even realize it. Little random acts of kindness goes a long way and truly makes some one's day. So go make them feel special!

Belles N' Whistles Coming Soon!

Sorry I've been away from you all over the weekend, but Tiffany and the baby came up and we've been settling in and finalizing some wedding plans for Nichole and Branden.

Belles 'n Whistles

I just had to remind you about the new line of stamps, Belles N' Whistles, illustrated by the ever so talented Elisabeth Bell for Summer as a division of Roses on Paper. Oh, get ready for cuteness all over the place because these promise to be well, absolutely magical!

But I promise to be back later in the day with a card from The Greeting Farm that I picked up at Roses on Paper. You know how I love these little cuties! Hope everyone had a great weekend.
