I Know What You Are for Sassy Studio Designs

Oh, it's Friday and over at the Paper Craft Planet group for Sassy Studio Designs, us Fabettes are gearing up for a big event for us!  We're so excited to get in on the long waited final chapter of the Twilight series!  Lindsay has created an oh so fabulous freebie for us on this Fabulous Freebie Friday!  Remember it's only available for 24 hours so rush on over and pick it up!  Regan has challenged us to sparkle and I sparkled as much as I can, in one case, maybe a little bit too much.  For me to say too much sparkle or bling, that's a lot!

As for the Twilight series, you either love it or hate it.  Kind of like the Harry Potter books.  Well, I loved them and I think they meant so much to me because I read them with my girls (they're 27 and soon to be 26!).  They bugged me to read them and once I got into them, I had to read every one of them!  One of my favorite scenes from the movies was when Bella told Edward, "I know what you are."  I clinched when I read it and was on the edge of my seat when I saw this scene in the theater.  Here's my take on it:

I just love this image and it was so much fun to color!  Bella and Edward are colored with copics and Spectrum Noir markers and Bella has some stickles on her sweater.  I blocked out everything except Edwards skin and used some Tattered Angel spray on him.  If you remember, Bella said his skin looked like diamonds!  The papers are from the Immortal Love paper stacks from DCWV.  My image is cut out with Spellbinders and I used some Scrapper's Floss around the image and tied it with a button.  The sentiment is a metal embellishment form Close to My Heart and I distressed the edges with my Close to My Heart Distressor and used Black Soot distressed inks along the edge.  I added some black porcelin flowers from Recollections and baubles from my stash to the edges.

Here's a close up of the angst filled couple.

Here's a glimpse of the inside.

This view shows Edwards face without shimmering so much.

This is an angle where Edward's face doesn't glow quite so much.

I love this paper for the inside.  This paper pack is so spooky and really captures the feel of the books and movies.  It's one of my favorites!

Make sure to stop over at the group and pick up this fabulous freebie and see what my other stamping Fabette sisters have for you!  They always surprise and inspire me!  As for me, I'm off to do some movie watching before the new release!  Enjoy!

Charleston Tilda for Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog

It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog!  This month we are challenging you to make a "Thanks" card.  it can be a Thanksgiving project, "Thank You" project, anything that has to do with being thankful.  I haven't worked with my Tilda's for a while so I thought I'd ink up one I haven't used yet.  Here's Charleston Tilda!

Isn't she so pretty?  I love her sweet, happy attitude!  I like to think of her as doing her Halloween dance through the pumpkin patch!  I colored her in copics and added some Stickles on her dress and some Glossy Accents on her shoes. The flourishes are from Spellbinders and the pearls are from Studio 112.  The paper is from DCWV and I made the flowers and used a Martha Stewart punch for the branches.  The lace, button and ribbon is from my stash.

I love her sweet face!

Have a peek inside.

And another!

Here's the inside for Judy.  I also added a flourish inside.

Can't wait to see everyone's "Thanks" something!

50 Shades of Sassy and Celebrating 800 Members!

Everyone is talking about the Fifty Shades of Grey series.  It's hot, it's sexy, it's entertaining, it's dull, it's shocking, it's ____________, you fill in your thoughts on it!  One things for sure is everyone has an opinion about it.  But for me, today Fifty Shades is a reason to celebrate because we finally reached 800 members over at our Sassy Studio Designs Paper Craft Planet Group!  I'll take any reason to party and celebrate!  I love that there are 800 people out there in cyber crafting world that love the images that Lindsay creates for us to color up and play with as much as I do.  Not only do we get to build friendships with people we have something in common with, but we get some freebies along the way with this bunch!

Over at the group, Lindsay has a super fun extra image for us to have some fun with, so let's celebrate Fifty Shades of Sassy!  If you've come here for Alaine's blog, you're on the right track.  If not, here's the order:

Regan, our oh so fun and talented coordinator for this fun ride, has challenged us to use black, white, and grey.  Here's my take on Miss Fifty Shades of Sassy:

Isn't she something?  I had the greatest time with her!  This confident lady is colored with copics and Spectrum Noir markers and her shoes and clothing (what there is of it!) is highlighted with Diamond Glaze and the background is cut with my Nestabilities dies and for some added texture, I ran the grey oval through my Cuttlebug.  The paper is from the Black Currant pack from DCWV.  The brad and flourish is from Close to My Heart, the flowers from Recollections and the twine and brads are from my stash.

Here's a couple of peeks to the inside from each side.

Sorry that the pop up squares are showing!  Here's her gorgeous face up close:

Gosh, she sure does look sure of herself!

I love the sentiment!

Now make sure to hop over to Karal's blog and see her fabulous project she has waiting for you!

Laters, gals!
