Baby It's Cold Outside from Sentiment Salon and January Birthday Calendar Page

I've got a great project to share with you today, or tonight! Our every talented and thoughtfully sweet Iris at Belles N' Whistles Design Team came up with this great birthday calendar! I am forever forgetting birthdays and this year I want to try and be better about them. So Happy Birthday to my adopted baby girl, Kelly! Try and stay out of trouble!

I love this template because you can use it for birthdays, anniversaries, those special days, paydays, you name it and you can do it. Since it's January, I thought I'd use The Christmas Door from Belles N' Whistles, and color it in winter colors rather than Christmas ones. I think this baby doll is just so stinkin cute going to deliver her package. I made the balls on the trees and the wreath into fruit, oranges but you can call them pomegranates if you chose! I added Stickles and some Prima Flowers with spacers and pearls in the corner. Oh, and some the the Christmas stamps from our Belles N' Whistles Christmas Collection are now on sale! That's always as great thing this time of the year.

And don't you just love this sweet sentiment? My good friend, Deb, started a blog called Sentiment Salon and asked me to be on her design team and I was so excited! I can't wait to bring you some gorgeous and fun cards with sentiments on them! They're digis and so much fun! I love the idea of printing something out and sizing it how I want. Go over and take a look at the fabulous sayings she's got going on over there!

This was a good start for me because I'm wanting to get into scrap booking and I thought using all of a 6 x 6 piece of paper was a huge leap for me! I thought the Eskimo Kisses background was perfect for my winter scene! I had a blast on this one and I can't wait to put together my February calendar page.

I'll be back over the weekend but I just needed to take a couple of days off this past week but I hope you enjoy what I came back with. Have a great weekend everyone!

Try It Out Tuesday 51 - Aurora All Altered Up!

It's Try It Out Tuesday here for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design over at Follow Your Heart. Our leader and new Dirty Girl over at SCS, Suzanne, challenged us to use the new cutie pie sprite, Aurora, from Victoria Case for Susana's shop, and alter something. Well, let me tell you about my newest venture. It's a diet. Yep, I need to lose some weight and I think I found a plan I can live with. I'm just starting it, but after I commit to it, I'll let you know all about it. Anywho, I have to keep a food journal so I've altered a notebook. I wanted to do something practical and this 6 x 6 book I picked up at Joann's was just the right size and since it has a lot to do with protein and nuts, I thought Aurora with Bird, would be perfect because of the nuts she's feeding this cutie little bird.

Aurora is colored with copics and she's got that Stickle-dew all over her again! I added some Prima Flowers in one corner and some Bella Baubles in another. And the ribbon along the spiral is from my stash. I love using all the little pieces up!

Something about this image that I just love is this sweet little bird and the nuts. Aren't they just too adorable?

Make sure to stop over at the store blog and see the fabulous projects my Designing buddies have come up with for you. So now what are you going to alter? Tell me all about it!

Card Ingredients:

Aurora with Bird from the Aurora Collection by Victoria Case from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, copics, nestabilities, ribbon, stickles, Prima Flowers, MS branch and leaf punch, notebook, Bella Baubles.

It's Showtime!

I love the circus. When I was little one of the things I wanted to do was be a trapeze artist. I wanted to fly through the air from one bar, do flips and gracefully grab hold of the handsome man that is hanging upside down on the other side of the tent! It's been a while since I've played with some of The Greeting Farms and I had to take some time to spend with Anya and Showtime today! I get all of my The Greeting Farm Stamps from Summer at Roses on Paper. I just adore these sweeties!

This cutie is colored with copics and I used Stickles to highlight her band, the elephant's pants and the popcorn. I think it was just enough! And I've been dying to make one of the Stair Step Fold Cards. I thought it kind of set the stage for Anya and her traveling show!

So what was your favorite part of the circus? I'd love to know!
