My first Riley!

I live in Maine so you'd think I'd have a ton of moose things. Well, I don't. Up here they're not as cute as we get to depict them in rubber! They run into cars, clop along the road and just flat out don't pay any attention to you! But our Riley is a totally different story!

Hanna Stamps has the cutest line of moose stamps called Riley and Sophie and they are just a scream! I've got some Hanna stamps but no Riley's yet. Kristina from the Hanna Yahoo Group sent me some Riley images in an image exchange we did and this is my first attempt at Riley. I love the colors and thought orange would go great with that little brown body of his. Since he's watering flowers, I used my Stylized Flowers cuttlebug folder with him and colored him with my Prismacolor pencils and OMS. The patterned paper is from Scenic Route and I used Prisma flowers on him. I think he came out great! I know the picture's fuzzy. We're still working on fixing the camera!

Now if we could just the moose in Maine to water flowers instead of eating and stomping all over them, we'd be doing great! Have a great day!

Emma!

Well, finally, here's a picture of my Emma Lynn! I absolutely love it because it shows her at the first minutes of her precious life. Look at all that hair! And she's long - 22 inches! Oh, what fun we're going to have through life. I can't wait to start our journey!

Thanks for letting me ramble on!

Welcome Miss Emma Lynn!

Our Emma Lynn is with us now and she was so worth the wait! She's exhausted her poor mother but everyone is healthy and happy, but extremely tired! She was born at 4:42 this afternoon and weighed 7 lbs and 8 ozs and is 22" long. She has a headful of dark hair and the cutest schrunched up nose in the world. When I left her, she was sucking on her precious little fingers. I'm totally taken by her. Nick, her father, took some beautiful pictures and will be sending them to us. As soon as I get them, I'll post them.

In the meantime, I made this card over the weekend for my new girl. The image is from SU's "Welcome, Little One" set and I used my cuttlebug baby folder for the background and the designer paper is from Hot Off The Press. I thought it came out beautifully.

Now Grandmommy is off to finish catching up on her e-mail and then going to sleep. Man, what a day! Jennifer and Nick, thank you for making me blessed.

Magnolia-licious

This has been a great weekend! I got to stamp Friday night and Saturday. Had so much fun and got a ton of cards made. I also had the opportunity to be part of a great new yahoo group called Magnolia-licious! Diana at ScorPal is going to start carrying the cutest line of stamps called Magnolias in her store and we're so excited about them! They're just adorable and we've started a yahoo group for them. There's a link to the group here on my blog so come and join us! I'm patiently waiting for some to play with and as soon as they come in, I'm posting all over the place with them! So when I wasn't stamping, I was cruising the net to find ideas for these little cuties!
