Sing for Joy!
I can't carry a tune in a bucket! Never could and I suspect that I never will. There are so many beautiful songs out there to sing and so many that haven't been written yet. My daughter's fiancee, Branden, is in a band and these kids practice and sing all the time. Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I don't appreciate their talents. At the old school I used to work at, I would pass this little girl who every morning, rain or shine, snow or a heat wave, who would be outside singing at the top of her lungs. I'm not sure how she sounded but she sure looked like she had the voice of an angel!
Carol Singing Charlotte from Whiff of Joy reminded me so much of her during the winter. I embossed Charlotte with clear embossing powder and colored her with copics. Everything else came from Loreen at Wish Upon A Scrap. She rocks! I highlited a bit of her skirt and sweater with my white opaque pen, used Fun Flock on her hat and used my Pearl Glimmer Mist on the background of the ovals.
Whether you can sing or not, it's great to sing out loud a few times in our life. So let go and sing to the hills! And I promise this will be my last post today!
