A Day at the Beach

If you've read my blog before, you know how I love the beach and water. My friend, Theresa, sent me a couple of images that I just totally fell head over heals in the sand for! Having just become the grandmother of two beautiful baby girls, I thought of Emma and Allie when I saw this image. I can see this little sweetie as having spend the day at the beach building sand castles and having Capri Sun's to cool her little self down and then getting all cleaned up and sitting on the beach while she waits for her momma to get ready to go out to the pier for fish and chips. Oh, what a way to spend a summer day!

She was colored with my Bic markers and SU pastels to sponge the sky. I used my white opaque pen for the dots on her little dress and the background paper is from DCWV. She went together in no time!

If you ask me, she has the right idea for dinner! Getting all dressed up in our summer best and walking down to the pier. Want to come?

Heaven Must be Missing An Angel...

cause she's here with me right now! When I saw Halobella, I thought of that song and my Nichole. All of my girls are great and are angels in their own right. I'm blessed because all my girls are beautiful, hard-working, honest and well, if you ask me, just heavenly. I love Halobella's hair. It's so curly and she's got that great smile. I took on look at her and knew I had to have her because she's so much like my Nichole. And my angel just got engaged over the weekend so she's now floating on Cloud 9. Yes, Halobella certainly resembles my Nik!

I colored her with my Bic markers and a couple of copics thrown in there. I used my devine swirls cuttlebug background and the paper is from Imaginese, I believe. I highlighted her halo and wings with my Spica glitter pen and the ribbon is from Joann's.

And as far as those angels go, I think God sends them to us just when we need them. He's certainly sent me my fair share of them! Enjoy!

My Little Girls

Well, here are my girls after a couple of weeks! Aren't they just so stinkin beautiful? They're all growing so fast and changing with every picture I see. My Emma has just a headful of hair! It's so dark and beautiful. Bless her little heart, she keeps scratching her beautiful face so Jennifer has to put these cute little mitts on her sweet hands. Gotta protect that cute little face. And Allie is just three weeks old and has already gained over two pounds! Little porker that she is. That's her in the pink blowing me kisses. But alas, all this activity has made them tired. Gosh, how precious and peaceful is a sleeping baby?

These precious little things put a totally different spin on life for you. They make you remember what's important in life. Sometimes it's good to slow down and make sure you have time to look at the pictures and hug those babies. There's a great verse that my sister cross-stitched that says something like, "So go away cobwebs because you can wait cause I'm rocking my babies and babies can't wait." I think that pretty well sums it up. I'm off to find rocking chairs for both my girls!

Whiff of Joy - New Stamp Company!

Whiff of Joy is a new stamping company that is getting off the ground. The stamps they've been previewing are just too adorable and I've got a good feeling about them! They're getting ready to start taking preorders on Wednesday, July 30th and are offering some great blog candy. I've posted their link on my sidebar so just click on the Whiff of Joy banner and go take a look. I found out about this opening from Ami and Deb. They're just so darn cute! (The stamps and Ami and Deb!)
