Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Sponsored by My Grafico

Boy, what a time we've had!  Allie's birthday party was on Saturday and what a great time we had!  But I gotta tell you, I forgot how much energy a group of kids can have!  I was exhausted and it took a couple of days to recuperate!

Glad to be back with another challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown!  Our sponsor this week is MyGrafico and what fun under the sea images they so graciously supplied us with to have some fun creating for you!  It was really fun because the theme is anything goes so you just can't go wrong!  I chose to use this cute octopus from their Sea Animals set because I think they rock!  They used to scare me, but now I think they're so much fun, especially this cutie.

I colored this cutie with copics and added stickles all over him.  The papers are from BasicGrey's Shine On paper pack and I love the colors!  They look so beachy to me!  I embossed the yellow papers and the aqua and green chevrons with my devine swirls Cuttlebug folder.  The gems are from Studio G and the ribbon is from my stash.

Isn't this face just so sweet?

I love these papers and tried to add some browns with the stripes on the scalloped circle frame that this cutie pie is sitting on.

Make sure to stop over and join in on the challenge.  An anything goes challenge is a great way to participate.  All you need to do is make a card or project!  Also, stop over at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog and see the fabulous projects that my designing buddies have come up with for you.  They're all just so stinkin cute and I'd hate for you to miss out on them!

Christmas in July for Dare To Be Sassy Thursday for Sassy Studio Designs

Love me some Christmas, I do!  Doesn't matter to me what time of the year it is.  Being down in Florida, it is so hot that doing a theme of Christmas in July kind of cools me off a little.  That's our theme this week for the Dare To Be Sassy Thursday for Sassy Studio Designs.  I love it because you can do some different takes on the colors.  I decided to go with some lighter colors, pinks and greens!

Victorian Holiday Sassy has always been one of my favorite images because I think she looks so delicate and feminine.  She's colored with copics and has stickles on her coat and dress.  The green and pink papers are from Recollections and I used my Nestabilities to make the snowflakes and covered them with Pearl Tattered
Angels spray.  The gems are from Studio G and the ribbon is from my stash.

Here's a close up of her.  Don't you think she's just so pretty?

Here's a pretty good view of the snowflakes.

I love the snowflakes in the bottom right corner.  This is one of my favorite die sets!  I'm going to enter her into the following challenges:

Crafts and Me - Anything goes
Inky Impressions - Christmas in July
Paper Minutes - Anything goes
Holly Jolly Christmas - Tic-Tac-Toe (Ribbon, Glitter, Gems/Pearls)

Don't forget to blog on over to our Sassy Studio Designs Party Blog and pick up the new freebie that's being offered today and tomorrow before it finds its way into the Sassy Studio Designs Store on Saturday morning!  You know how I'd hate it if you missed the opportunity to pick it up!

Make sure to stop over to our Sassy Studio Designs blog and see the other fun and fabulous creations my fellow designing buddies have come up with for you.  All we need now is a little bit of eggnog!  Happy Christmas in July everyone!

Dare to Be Sassy Thursday for Sassy Studio Designs

Happy 4th of July everyone!  You know I love me some hot, sunny weather, some Sassy Studio Designs beauties, and a holiday!  These are just a couple of reasons why I love this holiday.  All you have to do is have a barbeque, spend time with friends and family, and watch some fireworks.  Love it and it just doesn't get to be much better!

Over at Sassy Studio Designs we shook some things up and changed teams and so every Thursday for the next few months, you'll be seeing something fabulously sassy from me!  This week our challenge is Patriotic (red, white, and blue) and I decided to use one of our new images, Bubble Bath Sassy!

What a sassy thing she is!  Ever since I can remember, summer is filled with bubbles.  It's one of the best ways to entertain kids and adults alike!  But with sassy lady also likes her bubbles but a little bit different type than you would find on a picnic!

She's all colored up with Copics and covered with Stickles all of ther bubbles and tub.  I sprayed the entire tag with Goosebumps to give it some texture and a look of being hot and steamy.  The papers are from my favorite piece of paper ever from Graphic 45 and she's cut out and framed with Nestabilities.  The pearls are from Studio G and bakers twine holds the tag on the bottle.

You can see a glimmer of the Goose Bumps texture here.

The sentiment is computer generated and I love that font!  I plan on entering her in the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Red, white and blue
Crafty Cardmakers - Holidays
Digi Darla's Challenge - Stars and Stripes
Get Inky! Challenge - Red, White and blue
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge - Flag Day or colors
MeMa's Craft Monday Challenge - Patriotism or Red, White and Blue
Paper Playtime - Red, White and Blue
The Pink Elephant Monday Card Challenge - photo inspiration
Gingerloft Challenge - Red, White and Blue

So come on over to the Sassy Studio Design Team Blog and show us your patriotic spirit!  Head on over to find out all the details on entering our challenge and share your red, white, and blue with us!

I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th!  Have a burger for me.  I think I'm going to be using these bubbles in the bottle with Allie, my granddaughter!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Sponsored by Robyn's Fetish

I love July!  It just seems like the best time of the year to me.  The 4th is always such a fun holiday, my sister's birthday is in July as well as my granddaughter, Allie.  The weather is always nice and hot and swimming, picnics, and watermelon are on the agenda.  It doesn't really get much better than that for me.  Oh, and I just love all the patriotism and fun colors in all tones of red, white, and blue are everywhere!  This week's challenge for Tuesday Throwdown is Stars and Stripes.  We're being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and they've provided us with some adorable images to use to inspire you.

Based on all of the above, I chose "My Little Cook" and simply adore her!

Isn't she too cute?  She's colored with copics and I added some Stickles to her hat, hair ties, blouse, apron, and socks.  She's cut out with my floral oval by Nestabilities and the flowers are a punch from McGill and the branches are a punch from Martha Stewart.  The papers are from BasicGrey and Graphic 45 (I am trying to use all my scraps, can you tell?) and the gems are from Studio G.  I added some distressed ink in Scattered Straw around the frame and the sentiment.

Here's a closer look at her.  I can just see one of my girls standing up on that little stool wanting to held their dad flip burgers or face a crowd and yell, "The burgers are done!"

I plan on entering her in the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Red, white and blue
Crafty Cardmakers - Holidays
Digi Darla's Challenge - Stars and Stripes
Get Inky! Challenge - Red, White and blue
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge - Flag Day or colors
MeMa's Craft Monday Challenge - Patriotism or Red, White and Blue
Paper Playtime - Red, White and Blue
The Pink Elephant Monday Card Challenge - photo inspiration
Gingerloft Challenge - Red, White and Blue

New Beginnings for Children with Bubbles for Elisabeth Bell's World

I love this theme for this month's challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World!  Who doesn't like new beginnings?  I have had a bazillion new beginnings in my life and can only imagine how many some of you have had.  It's renewing and the possibilities are endless.  For me, that's the magic of starting over.  Sometimes it ends up good, sometimes not so much.

Children have new beginnings just about every day.  I'm learning more and more since I've been spending so much time with Allie.  Sometimes children aren't quite sure as to what to do with new starts and new friends.  One thing I've found out is that for kids, a bottle of bubbles is just the thing to break the ice.  Who doesn't love bubbles?  Come on, admit it.  We all blow the first bubbles when we open up a bottle for the kids!  It connects us all together.  I love it when kids take their bubbles to a guy to open.  Even men can't resist releasing the first opaque circles in the air from a new bottle of bubbles!

This is Bubbles from Elisabeth Bell for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and I think she's everything good and sweet in children!  She's colored with copics and the papers are some of my favorite from BasicGrey and Imaginisce.  The border was made using a scallop edger from Stampin Up, the ribbon is from Hero Arts, the gems are from Studio G and the flowers are a mix of Recollections and home made.  The die cuts I used are from Nestbilities.  Of course, I used some Stickles on the bubbles and her sweet shirt!

Here's a closer look at this sweet thing!  I absolutely love her and can see her slowly letting down her guard and making new friends.

Make sure to stop over at our blog and see the fabulous projects that my designing sisters have for you.  All of their projects just make my jaw drop and I can't believe that I get to design with such great talents!  Come on and show us your new beginnings!  Someone is going o be lucky enough to win a couple of really sweet stamps from on of the ever talented Ms. Elisabeth Bell!  Hope it's you!

May All Your Wishes Come True Release and Blog Hop for Sassy Studio Designs!

Just a couple of things first.  If you've made it this far on the fabulous blog hop, God Bless You!  Also, for everyone in the United States, Happy Memorial Day!  I love this holiday because it pays tribute to those who have or are serving in the military.  I proudly served 12 1/2 years in the Navy and loved every minute of it.  It was a privilege and honor and I wouldn't have traded one single second of my time doing one of the most important things in my life.  Now on to the blog hop!

Don't you just love it when something you've truly wished for comes true?  I know it's happened to me several times in my life and it's just truly magical when it happens.  That's what the new release for Sassy Studio Designs, May All Your Wishes Come True, is all about.  But there's a twist - it's about when your grown up wishes come true!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I think you'll love this release!  I now I sure do!

If you've come to my blog from my ever talented designing sister, Sara's blog, then you're on the right track.  If not, make sure to go to the Sassy Studio Designs blog and start from there.  I promise it will be well worth your time!

I am really excited to present Cinderella Pin Up to you!  I'm really pleased with how she came out!  Just want to warn you that there's a few pictures!

I did something new for me, I used a digi and made a candle!  I've done it with rubber stamps before but never with a digi and I had a blast!  (I'm writing a tutorial for it and you'll be able to find it over at our Paper Craft Planet Group in a few days.)  She's colored with copics and added to the candle with my embossing gun.  I added some stickles all over her gown, headband and shoes.

I added some blue tulle from Joann Fabrics and all of the flowers are from Recollections.  Love her missing shoe!

I added some jewels to the top and the back and they are by Studio G.

Since she's a pin up, I wanted to add a sassy type sentiment to her!

Here's a view of the side with another sentiment.  I like this one because usually when you hear about a ship coming in or something good happening, usually the person is at another pier or the airport and they miss it.  Miss Cinderella Pin Up was in the right place at the right time!

And here is a view of the left side of the front of the candle.  It was hard working with this project because it smelled so good!  The scent is Fresh Linen and I got the candle at Michaels.

Well, I'm the next to the last stop so head on over to The Sassy Studio Designs Blog and tell us what you thought about the blog hop and the release.  I think it's one of our funnest so far!
