I Know What You Are for Sassy Studio Designs

Oh, it's Friday and over at the Paper Craft Planet group for Sassy Studio Designs, us Fabettes are gearing up for a big event for us!  We're so excited to get in on the long waited final chapter of the Twilight series!  Lindsay has created an oh so fabulous freebie for us on this Fabulous Freebie Friday!  Remember it's only available for 24 hours so rush on over and pick it up!  Regan has challenged us to sparkle and I sparkled as much as I can, in one case, maybe a little bit too much.  For me to say too much sparkle or bling, that's a lot!

As for the Twilight series, you either love it or hate it.  Kind of like the Harry Potter books.  Well, I loved them and I think they meant so much to me because I read them with my girls (they're 27 and soon to be 26!).  They bugged me to read them and once I got into them, I had to read every one of them!  One of my favorite scenes from the movies was when Bella told Edward, "I know what you are."  I clinched when I read it and was on the edge of my seat when I saw this scene in the theater.  Here's my take on it:

I just love this image and it was so much fun to color!  Bella and Edward are colored with copics and Spectrum Noir markers and Bella has some stickles on her sweater.  I blocked out everything except Edwards skin and used some Tattered Angel spray on him.  If you remember, Bella said his skin looked like diamonds!  The papers are from the Immortal Love paper stacks from DCWV.  My image is cut out with Spellbinders and I used some Scrapper's Floss around the image and tied it with a button.  The sentiment is a metal embellishment form Close to My Heart and I distressed the edges with my Close to My Heart Distressor and used Black Soot distressed inks along the edge.  I added some black porcelin flowers from Recollections and baubles from my stash to the edges.

Here's a close up of the angst filled couple.

Here's a glimpse of the inside.

This view shows Edwards face without shimmering so much.

This is an angle where Edward's face doesn't glow quite so much.

I love this paper for the inside.  This paper pack is so spooky and really captures the feel of the books and movies.  It's one of my favorites!

Make sure to stop over at the group and pick up this fabulous freebie and see what my other stamping Fabette sisters have for you!  They always surprise and inspire me!  As for me, I'm off to do some movie watching before the new release!  Enjoy!

This is Scotty Scarecrow and I think he's fabulous!  He's colored with my new Close to My Heart Markers and I love them!  I used a little bit of Stickles on his hair and collar and some Glossy Accents on his eyes.  The papers are from the Autumn and Halloween DCWV stack and the baubles are from my stash.  I used Wild Honey Distressed Inks around him and on the inside and cut him out with Nestabilities.

Here is a peek of the inside and here's the complete inside.

Ragamuffin Mer Baby

Mermaids are so magical and enchanting to me.  I love to collect mermaid stamps and  color them up in so many different ways.  You can do just about anything in the world with them.  I love to color them in colors that you would find under the sea.  Sherri Baldy from Sherri Baldy Stamps has some just adorable and sexy mermaids at Scrapbook Stamp Society.  Here's Ragamuffin Mer Baby:

Isn't she beautiful?  She's colored with my copics and has Stickles all over her skirt and fins and Glossy Accents on her eyes, lips and top.  I used Baubles because they reminded me of bubbles and the papers are from Pocketful of Posies from DCWV.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Gosh, I love her sweet face!

Here's a peek of the inside from each side.

And here's the inside.

I love all of her designs and will be back with some more!  Head on over to Scrapbook Stamp Society and see the fabulously fun and versatile images Sherri has.  You'll be so amazed!

Magazine Margie - Loving to Read!

There's just something wonderful about a good book that takes you right out of your life and plops you in the middle of a new situation, circumstances, or even entirely new world!  My girls all love to read and we have all read the Harry Potter and Twilight books and Nichole and I have read the Hunger Games series.  There's something about reading with your children, regardless of their age, that feels as natural as breathing.

This cutie doll, Magazine Margie, was a free image from Sassy Studio Designs and I totally love her!  Everything about her screams, "Make me a bookmark!"  I made her red and grey because my sister is a big reader and an even bigger Ohio State fan!  There is a challenge over there to create something using a Back to School theme so here's my take!

I colored her with copics and Spectrum Noir pens and I really liked them!  The papers are from my sister's stash and the baubles, ribbon, and charms are from mine.  She has some stickles on her top but they didn't really come out so well in the pictures.  I think it may have been how I had her positioned.

Doesn't she have the sweetest face?  I'll just bet she's a smarty-pants!

I tried to fussy cut her and I'm not quite sure how that came out.  It was different not cutting directly on the black outline!

Here are the charms I added.  Most are from Blue Moon and the key is from Tim Holtz.

I think everyone should go pick up a great book and make a bookmark!  Those of us with kids out of school can donate them if we don't read but what a great gift to ourselves - a little bit of our crafting talents for us to go with the wonderfully magical world those fabulous authors give us.  All we need is a cup of coffee or tea and life will be perfect!

Towel Tammy

I love a nice, hot, bubbly bath.  I solve all my problems, my kids problems, the world's problems, daydream, read, plan, relax and just shut totally down in a big old tub.  Nothing better.  But it could just be my luck, and we all know how my luck goes, but once the water starts to cool down, so does my problem solving abilities!

Sassy Studio Designs has a freebie every Friday over at their Paper Craft Planet group and last week's image was Towel Tammy.  Oh, she speaks to me and love for all things related to a bath!

Isn't she just something?!  I colored her with copics and hold the blogging world together, but I didn't add any stickles!  I did, however, add some Diamond Glaze to her lips for a hint of shine.  The papers are from Authentique's Essentials Collection and I love them!  It's the first time I've used them and I'm going to get me some more!  I added some Baubles and a sheer ribbon with a Basic Grey button.  I cut out the image and the outline with my Nestabilities.

I think her face looks so relaxed and gorgeous!

I added some Scattered Straw distressed ink around the edges of the image and to the inside of the writing area.

I loved these cherry colored Baubles so much I added them to the inside.

Here's the full inside.

She is made for the challenge over at the Paper Craft Planet Sassy Studio Design Group challenge for all wet.  I am also entering her for The Crazy Challenge where anything goes.

I sure hope you enjoy this beauty and wish a nice, hot, relaxing bath, and long legs that go on forever (which my poor 5"3 body will never have!), on us all!

Wishes Granted - Maybe!

Don't you love that feeling when one of your wishes actually comes true?  It's that feeling you can't explain that totally overtakes you when all of the build up, anticipation, planning, hoping, comes to fruition and all is right with the world in that moment.  It's magical, it's euphoric, well, it's just down right enchanting.

Those times don't come around all the time and when I saw this cutie, Wishes Granted, by the ever so talented artist, Heather Valentin over at Scrapbook Stamp Society, I felt like one of my stamping wishes had been granted.  I'm always waiting for something to really wow me and I found tons of wow at Scrapbook Stamp Society!  Here's my own personal genie.

I've been on a purple kick lately!  I think it's all the Halloween I've been around at the store!  I colored this beauty with copics and since I wanted her to have lots of shine and sheen, I added some Stickles to her.  This Art Impressions paper stack is so gorgeous and fits so many different looks to presenting images.  I tried to keep her simple and striking.  I added some Diamond Glaze to her lips and a few Baubbles, a clear stickpin from Basic Grey and ribbon.

Here is her gorgeous face.

I loved this paper so much that I used the rest of the sheet on the inside.

This is a view of the complete inside.  I didn't use any distressed inks along the edge of the writing area, but perhaps I should have.

Thanks for having a look and here is hoping that all your wishes are granted!  If I could cross my arms and blink my eyes and have all things right for everyone one, believe me, I would!
