One of my favorite things to shop for used to be back to school supplies for the girls. Don;t let me walk into Staples because it's way too hard for me to get out! I love the smell of new crayons and freshly sharpened pencils. Makes me think about all the things out there to learn and I get so excited about learning!
Our ever so talented Design Team Leader at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, Suzanne Dean, challenged us to make a notepad or post-it cover to go along with the back to school season so I chose Susy, one of the brand new images from the Hearts and Hugs Series 2 Collection from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! I think she's just adorable!
I love the red and white paper and thought it looked fresh for back to school. I used the ribbon to add some black accents. Susy is colored with copics and I added some Stickles to her dress and pants. Some Glossy Accents gives a realistic look to her gorgeous eyes and I added some glaze to her sweet teddy bear. I love the patterned Prisma flowers and thought they'd give just a bit dimension. I can't wait to use this cutie!
This is a side view. You can see the cute pale pink pages of the notebook.
I just adore these sweet babies faces! Aren't they just precious?
Now make sure that you stop by Follow Your Heart, the store's blog and check out all the other goregous projects that my ultra-talented Design Team Buddies have created for you all!
So go enjoy getting ready for back to school! School and desk supply shopping is as much fun for me as clothes shopping! Enjoy!

Susan, this notebook is fabulous. I love the image and you colored it perfectly.
Adorable notebook Susan! I love making projects like that.
Very cute and you know I love the sparkle!
Smiles,
Brandi
Susan, I adore this project, too.
I love your comment about buying school supplies. My daughter will be 42 years old tomorrow and we both still love to go to stores when they have all the school supplies out. I still have to buy new crayons and pens and notebooks, etc. for myself. My daughter always gave out party favors of fun supplies we would buy at the office supply stores. Her friends always loved the items they got from us.

Oh, this is just too adorable, and all the sparkles to boot! You did a excellent job Susan as always!
I love the office supply stores too, all those folders, notebooks, pencils and 'things' to organize our papers, folders, and notepads...too fun!
take care

Very cute. I have also gotten hooked on altering notebooks. Great job.
This is beyond precious!!! Every detail is absolute and total perfection!!! What can I say? I love EVERYTHING about this darling notepad!!!!
It was also nice hearing that I am not the only one who could spend hours (and too much moolah) in an office supply store:o) They are filled to the brim with the coolest stuff, and I am usually inspired to create when I finally leave:o)
Hugs!!!
Carolyn
