Back to School

I work as the Registrar at a private boarding school. Since I do all the scheduling for teachers and students, this is the busiest time of the year for me. When I saw these stamps from Diana on Magnolia-licious, I had to have them! I played it with this collection and picked up more than just Tildas. I got the desk, paper, and slate! So that means there are a few more Back to School cards in me!

As a child, I loved back to school time. As much as I loved summer, I loved the social part of school. I was wondering what I would when my girls got old enough to do their own school shopping but my job in Guidance Offices kept me buying school supplies! It may be sad, but I still stop by Staples and pick up notebook paper when it's ten cents! I just can't help myself. There's something about buying pens, paper and pencils that still makes me feel like a kid. I'm glad that kid is still inside me somewhere!

Tilda with Pencils and the school desk were colored with my new Koh-I-Noor pencils and OMS. the background paper is from the new In-Color line from SU and the background paper is from DCWV. The button brads are from Making Memories that I ordered from Danni from The Angel Company and the flowers are from American Art company. I used my clear Gel Jelly pen for the hearts on the desk, the apple and Tilda's ruler in her pocket. And I used my nestabilities for the circles. And I picked up the ribbon from Joann's. I almost forgot that I used my banch cuttlebug folder for the bottom part of the card.

For those of you who have kids going back to school, yes, Denise, I thought about Jacob while I was working on this card, I hope you find fun, productive things to keep you occupied until the kids get home. And I hope you have some fun with all the back to school supplies you can keep at home so the kids will have supplies for their homework! Kids don't like that part of it, but educators sure love parents who help with keeping kids engaged in learning. Here's to back to school!

How funny. As a child I loved back to school too. In fact I still get in that excited back to school mode with my daughter. She doesn't get it and I don't know why. I love this card. Everything about it is perfect.
