Relaxing on a summer day

I made her for the August card mingle over at MAGNOLIA-licious and she's on her way to Suzanne Dean. I so hope she likes her. She made me want to go start up the lawnmower!

There's nothing as cute as a little girl with pigtails in her hair! And to be so comfortable laying on the grass looking up at the sky, well, life just doesn't get much better than that! There's nothing as sweet as the smell of just cut grass or the feel of the soft, blue-green blades along the back of your neck. I remember when life was that good and uncomplicated. My dad would have finished cutting the grass with our little push lawn mower and the grass felt like a big soft blanket. Then you'd get up and you would have grass stains on your clothes because you would really burrow down into the grass because it the ground was so cool. Ah, to remember summer!

Relaxing Tilda, like so many others I've seen, takes me back to when I was a little girl running around in blue jeans and a sweater and playing outside and being so tired, you just need a break. I colored her with my Prismacolor markers and used Glossy Accents on the flowers in the grass and her cheeks. It's a bit shiny in the picture but looks much better on the original. I used my Spica glitter pen on her buttons and snap on her jeans. The ribbon is from Basic Grey, the snap from the August kit from Loreen's August kit, and the baubles are from Stamping Bella. Her background paper is from K&Company.
