It's time again for another challenge over at Elphine House Australia! This time, Lynda challenged us to use some metal on our project. This was a stretch for me because metal is something that I don't have much of in the way of craft supplies or embellishments but I did the best I could with what I have!
Daisy: Standing Tall has always been one of my favorites and I thought she's be perfect for the metal sentiment I found. It says "Moments" and when I look at this cutie pie, I see her remembering or either making a moment.
I colored her with copics and added some stickles to her dress, hat and flowers. I cut her out with Nestabilities and added some pearls and glass gems on metal stems. This gorgeous papers are from an Authentique paper pack called Remembrance that I got from Kim at Cutter's Creek. The pearls are from Hero Arts, the ribbon is from Simplicity, and the sentiment is from Close to My Heart.
Here's a bit of a closer look at her.
I absolutely love the sweet faces that Elisabeth Bell uses in her illustrations.
Thought I'd share a few close ups of different parts of the card.
Absolutely gorgeous, don't you think? I used some Diamond Glaze on the ribbon on her dress and hat.
Here's a vie that shows some of the dimensions of the card.
I plan on entering her in the following challenges:

Hearts and Ribbons Challenge for Elphine House Australia
I just love all the different things you can do with hearts this tie of the year. They don't just have to have some flowery sentiment or be all about the love of your life. Sometimes hearts can be soft and subtle. That's the approach I used for our Design Team Challenge for Elphine House Australia. Our uber talented leader, Lynda, challenged us to use hearts and ribbons and I chose this precious Daisy Standing Tall designed by the ever so talented Elisabeth Bell. I see this sweetie pie as being out to pick some flowers for someone who is special to her and I could just see these daisy ending up with a huge bow tied around them.
She's colored with copics and her cutout and the swirls are from Spellbinders. This gorgeous paper is from BasicGrey's Bittersweet stack and I've held on to it for a really long time! I added Stickles and Diamond Glaze to her dress and flowers and some pearls from Studio 112 to the edges, butterfly and around her cutout. The flowers are from my handmade stash and I used my Cricut Expression to cut out the heart and added some Distressed Inks around all the edges. The lace and ribbon is from my stash.
Gosh, I love her sweet face!
The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and I added some pearls to it.
I cut out an extra heart for the inside.
Be sure to stop over at our Design Team Blog and see the gorgeous creations that my Design Team sisters have come up with. I'm sure they'll do nothing but inspire you to get working on your heart cards and pull out that ribbon! The world can always use some more bows, knots, and streamers!
