Roses on Paper Design Team Challenge - Stamping on Candles!

Today is the day for our Roses on Paper Design Team Challenge and it was issued by our very talented and inspiring Iris. She did a great tutorial on stamping on candles which you can see at our Roses on Paper Design Team Project and Tutorial blog. She gave us the picture above and challenged us to stamp on a candle. I love doing this and had such fun with this challenge!

I thought Angel Anya just needed to be on a candle! She's so angelic looking and with the Easter season approaching, I think so much about our heavenly hosts and the influences they have on our lives and how they protect and look out for us. I colored her with copics and used some stickles on her halo and wings and just a bit on her dress.

I thought the sentiments in my new "Life" stamp set that PaperTrey Inc., so graciously donated to all of us at Stamp New England last weekend, was so appropriate for the upcoming holiday. We should celebrate life and live it to it's fullest every day. It's a gift and we shouldn't take it lightly.

Here are a couple of pictures of the sides. I used Prima flowers, spacers and brads and you know me, it's got to have stickles on it somewhere! I added some branches using my Martha Stewart punch. Love that thing!

I love this gold ribbon from my stash. I think it makes Anya look like she floating on a cloud of gold. And the hatpin is because I love pearls!

I hope you enjoy her and will give stamping on candles a try! To me, it's much easier than doing a card! Make sure you stop by our Design Team Blog and see the gorgeous candles that my inspirational and creative designing sisters came up with. They're stunning!
