Playing with Paperdolls
Paper dolls have always fascinated me. They were something I could cut out anyway I wanted and it seemed that I got better at cutting with each new set. I still have my set of The Beverly Hillbillies paper dolls from when I was young. I could make them into anything I wanted them to be. My grandmother, Mommy Walsh, used to get McCall's Magazine and she would keep the paper doll for me every month. I used to spend so much time pretending to be Betsy McCall! When I got a little bit older, one of my sister friend's showed me how to make my own paper dolls. I used to sit and design clothes and just new I'd end up being a fashion designer. Well, I did learn how to use a sewing machine! That's as close as I got to that dream.
I knew that the Paper doll Tilda was made just for me. And while it's not high fashion, I did get in a new set of Koh-I-Noor woodless color pencils and got to try them on my Paper doll Tilda. I love them! Someone said they color like butter and they were right! I'm off to play some more with them, but here's the rest of the details on Paper doll Tilda. The base of the card is the new SU Riding Hood Red and the background paper is Abbi from Fancy Pants paper and the black background is core-dinations. I got to sand it and distress it and I love the effect it had. I flowers are felt flowers from K&Comapny and I popped them up with dimensionals and the flower brads are from Making Memories.
I so adore things that give me back a piece of my childhood. It was such a wonderful time for me and I wish everyone had a time in their life like that. I so hope you enjoy her.

I love paper dolls too! I just bought my daughter 2 Shirley Temple Paper Doll books from the Amish Village that we visited in PA last month. We are having a ball =) Keep up the great work!
I always had the " Colorform" paper dolls! I loved them because they didn't tear! My "Grandma with the grey hair" always had my supply hidden in her buffet next to the "Color by the number" big color books! Thanks for the memories Susan! I think these Tilda paperdolls are the sweetest! Great job! :)
Me again! Did you make the clothes so they are able to be removed? I need to figure out how to do that? I just love these paperdolls!
