Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog - Under the Sea

If you know me, you know I'm a lover of all things that have to do with the beach and ocean. Mermaids fall into that category! And you should also know that I love all things Stamping Bella. I have been dying to use this Underwatergoddessabella forever! When Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog Design Team was tasked with doing an under the sea card, I had to do her! Stop on over and see the gorgeous cards and projects my designing buddies came up with!

I love this paper and hate that I cute the name off of it already! I colored her with copics and added some Shimmerz, Stickles, and Spica glitter Pen to her. I sponged around her with some blue chalk and used some charms and Scrapper's Floss instead of ribbon. I love these Prima Flowers and the Bella Baubles and Kaisercraft Pearls and sea shells just seem to finish her up.

It's gorgeous weather (finally!) here in Maine today and a perfect day to have a mermaid swim up to the beach. Gosh, wouldn't that be exciting? Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm so excited because I'm going to the Red Sox game on Sunday with my daughter and just can't wait! Too much fun!

Card Ingredients:
Underwatergoddess-Bella from Stamping Bella, Paper from stash, Bella Baubles, copics, Shimmerz, Stickles, Prima Flowers, Blue Moon Charms, Kaisercraft Pearls, Scrapper's Floss, Spica Glitter Pen.

Lily, Tweet and Bella and Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! Yesterday was a busy day for me. I got to spend a lot of time with Nichole doing some girly stuff and getting my nails and then spent the rest of the day with some me time, getting my hair cut and playing with Hagrid, watching a movie and stamping. It just doesn't get much better than that!

I love that Susana at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD) is now carrying Pink Cat Studio stamps! I love this Lily and Tweet. Looks like they're all dressed up for some shopping and girl time. These sweeties are from the Lily and Tweet plate. So stinkin cute! I used the sketch that Suzanne created for SCACD's PCP Group. Stop over and participate because there's a sweet prize at the 3end of the month! I colored her with copics and used some Velvet Flock on Tweet and the center of the flower and Petals on them both. Love the shimmer on the Glitter Spring Stack from DCWV.

My Bellas have been sinfully neglected lately so I pulled out Veggiebella and had some fun with the PCP Weekly Sketch. I love the bright colors and the hope of fresh flowers and vegetables. She reminds me of my co-worker, Mary, who like my mother, can make anything grow. Heck, she's even got me keeping plants alive!

I hope that everyone has a very Happy Mother's Day! It's a wonderful celebration of the women who sacrifice so much of themselves so that all of us may grow and become the best that we can be. Honor them not only today but every day. I'm going to try.

Card Ingredients:

Lily and Tweet from Pink Cat Studio, Bella Baubles, Kaisercraft Pearls, Velvet Flock by Doodlebug, Petals, Glitter Stack Spring Collection from DCWV, ribbon, Veggiebella by Stamping Bella, Prisma flowers, stickles

Wishing for Spring!

Spring time is one of my favorite times of the year. The snow is all gone, most of the time, the grass goes from brown to green and East comes. Along with Easter comes girls in beautiful dresses and little chicks. Everyone loves to be outside and breathing in all that fresh air and it's just cold enough to need just a scarf on your head to let the ears adjust to the crisp, fresh air. Children gathering chicks just means spring to me!

Tilda with Chicks is from the new Easter line of Magnolias that should be available shortly from Summer at Roses on Paper. I did her with the beautiful Porcelain pack and brads and some prima flowers and a touch of stickles. I adore this line of Magnolias so make sure you keep checking in. Summer will have a limited supply of them and you want to make sure you're ready for the glorious Easter holiday! I was trying how to present this cutie and I thought the sketch from Sketch Saturday was perfect! You guys rock over there and I love all the DT cards!

One thing that stays with me all year long is coffee and Lattebella is all dressed up in her new spring colors! Doesn't she just look fabulous? I love the mint greens and aquas in the paper pack Euphoria from Basic Grey. Gosh, I love their papers! The sketch is our first sketch at Stamping Bellalicious! Come on over and have a look around. We'd love to have you join us!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm off to babysit for a friend of mine. He's on his way to Iraq and I want to give him some time out with his wife before he goes. Be back to chat with you tomorrow!

Goodluckabella and Mis Chief the Devilish Leprechaun!

I adore Stamping Bella and have never met a Bella that I didn't like! It's the same way with these Smirks! Both of these lines just catch my imagination and send it off! Mostly everything I used for these I got from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD).

Goodluckabella just makes me smile! She's done as my first card for the new StampingBellalicious yahoo grooup that's been started. If you love Bellas, we'd love to have you come and join us! She's so cute collecting up all her four leaf clovers and putting them in her pot of gold! I love the bow on her pot of gold and all the glitter on her!

And then there's Miss Chief, by Smirks, as an Irish leprechaun! Now she makes me laugh out loud! One of the girls I work with at the bowling alley asked me to work for her on St. Patrick's Day because she just turned 21 last weekend and it's her first big holiday out to celebrate. This will be Nikki - Glitter, tail and all! And the croocked sentiment "Trouble with a capital T" will be perfect!

If you like these cutie Smirks, Susana is offering a special from her store. If you buy 3 SMIRK stamps get a free SMIRK sentiment stamp just note in comments which one you would like when you check out offer good thru the 15th!!! With these cutie pies being only $3.95 a piece, you can scoop up a ton of them! Just tell her I sent you!

Believe it or not, but it's not even 11:00 and I'm off to bed. I'm hopefully going to find my pot of gold at the end of that rainbow in my dreams!

Card ingredients: Miss Chief by Smirks, Trouble With a Capital T by Smirks, Goodluckabella from Stamping Bella, 24K Gold Glitter Dots, Metallic Dew Drops, Blue Moon gold heart charm, Petals, ribbon and gold thread, hatpin, stickles, copics,
