It's time again for another challenge over at Elphine House Australia! This time, Lynda challenged us to use some metal on our project. This was a stretch for me because metal is something that I don't have much of in the way of craft supplies or embellishments but I did the best I could with what I have!
Daisy: Standing Tall has always been one of my favorites and I thought she's be perfect for the metal sentiment I found. It says "Moments" and when I look at this cutie pie, I see her remembering or either making a moment.
I colored her with copics and added some stickles to her dress, hat and flowers. I cut her out with Nestabilities and added some pearls and glass gems on metal stems. This gorgeous papers are from an Authentique paper pack called Remembrance that I got from Kim at Cutter's Creek. The pearls are from Hero Arts, the ribbon is from Simplicity, and the sentiment is from Close to My Heart.
Here's a bit of a closer look at her.
I absolutely love the sweet faces that Elisabeth Bell uses in her illustrations.
Thought I'd share a few close ups of different parts of the card.
Absolutely gorgeous, don't you think? I used some Diamond Glaze on the ribbon on her dress and hat.
Here's a vie that shows some of the dimensions of the card.
I plan on entering her in the following challenges:
Make sure to stop over at the Elphine House Australia Design Team blog and see the other gorgeous creations that my fellow designing team buddies have in store for you. They're nothing short of spectacular and I'd hate for you to miss them! And join us for our challenge and get your metal on!

A Glorious Day, It's Allie's Birthday!
This is gonna be pretty quick because we're off to the beach to celebrate my granddaughter, Allie, who turns 5 today! It's so hard to try and figure out where all the time has gone. I look at her now and she's getting ready for kindergarten, Daisy Girl Scouts, a new home, so many changes coming up for her. Then I sit and remember the first time I laid eyes on her right after she was born. As I am with all my grandchildren and my girls, I was just taken. Taken to a place I never thought my heart could go. I didn't think I had much room left in my heart after I had my children. It was so full of love for them. But I think God totally enlarges our hearts and reserves a place that we're not aware of existing because it's held for grandchildren.
Here's a few pictures of her doing some of the things she loves best:
Swimming! I swear she was born a fish!
Playing dress up! Gosh, she must change clothes 4 times a day! And she does love her some high heels!
Coloring and painting! This is her at Easter coloring eggs with my sweetie pie niece, Ella. Aren't they just too sweet?
And showing off a card she helped me make. She was so proud of this and let me tell you, she colors so well with my copics that it's a shame not to let her use them!
This child makes me laugh every day and you can't ask anymore of anyone than that. I love her and know that I'm so blessed to have her in my life. God is very good to me.
If you've read this far, I really appreciate it and want to post a card that I did for Elphine House Australia's last challenge but was so sick that I didn't get it posted. This is Emma Gifts of Love from Elisabeth Bell for Elphine House Australia and I love her!
She's colored with copics, has stickles all over her dress and is cut out with Nestabilities. The papers are from a gorgeous My Mind's Eye paper pack and the flowers are homemade. The pearls are from Hero Arts and the seam binding is from Stampin Up.
This cutie pie is absolutely gorgeous and you can use her for just about any occasion.
Here's a couple more looks of her.
I hope everyone has a fabulous day and enjoys this cutie pie. As for me, I'm off to the beach for some fun and sun!

Sunshine Set Girl with Garden Flowers from Elphine House Australia
Just want to take a minute and wish everyone a very Happy Mother's Day! I've been so blessed to have a wonderful mother who I've learned so much from. She truly shows me what unconditional love is every day. I love you Mom! And to my beautiful, wonderful daughters who have turned into such amazing mothers themselves, I love you all and am so blessed and honored to have you call me mommy.
I've been up to so much that my mojo took a turn and deided to go on a vacation! But it's coming back! I wanted to share my Elphine House Design Team project of Flower Power with you and remind you that you still have a day or two to come over and play along with our challenge.
Isn't she just adorable?
I added some distressed inks around the edge to give it a more soft look.
Make sure to come on over to our Design Team Blog and join in our challenge. Wouldn't you love a chance to win a gorgeous stamp? I know I'd be all over it!

Sweet New Girl from the Sunshine Set from Elphine House Australia
I may be a little ahead of myself, but Elphine House Australia has a couple of new cuties coming out from the Sunshine Set and I just can't help myself! I had to use one of them! So while I don't have a specific name for you, I'm giving you a preview of this cute pie!
Our challenge today over at Elphine House Australia Design Team has a theme of "Lace and Pearls". If you know me, you know I love me some pearls and lace is right up there with one of my favorite embellishments! Well, I decided to give this beauty a twist and used Baker's Twine as well my lace, but I hung tight with the pearls!
Isn't she a beauty? I love yellow and orange together and thought pearls were so appropriate for her! She's colored with copics and has some stickles in her hair, n her top, pants and I added some Diamond Glaze to the apples. The paper is a beautiful pack from My Mind's Eye and the flowers and pearls are from Recollections. She's cut out with my Floral Oval die from Spellbinders and the Baker's twine is from The Twinery. I ran the layered paper through my BigShot (my poor cuttlebug finally died on me :(), and used my dotted swiss folder to add some texture to the panels. I also used some Scattered Straw around the frame. This layout is from The House That Stamps Built and I love it! I'll use it pretty often.
Love, simply adore her face! I think she looks so pretty and self-reliant, out there picking not only some apples, but some flowers to go with it!
I like the clean look of the inside. And I love that Baker's Twine!
I am planning on entering her in the following challenges:
365 Cards - Welcome Spring
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge - A card for a child or teen
LEJ Designs Challenge - Emboss it
Loves Rubber Stamps - Spring colors
Oldie But A Goodie Challenge - Make it girls (flowers are over 6 months old)

A Little Bit Crafty - Anything goes

Daisy Scattering Love from Elphine House Austraila
I could make all kinds of excuses for being absent, but sometimes life and family happens. Have had a sick granddaughter on my hands and had a relapse of the flu. Haven't been having much fun, that's for sure.
Things have settled down and I think I'm back on track again and felling pretty settled. I remember when I was little, I had to complete all my chores before I could play or read and this sweet Daisy Sprinkling Love from Elphine House Australia, from one of my favorite artists, Elisabeth Bell, just reminds me of that work ethic my mom and dad instilled in us. Work before play or pleasure!
I made this image into a bookmark for a really special little girl. I'm trying to entice her into reading more and thought something with ribbns and buttons might help her keep her place. She's colored with copics and added some Stickles to her apron, ruffle on her dress, feed, and that sweet chicken. The papers are from Graphic 45 (my favorite paper company!), the buttons are from Close To My Heart, the bakers twine is from The Twinery, and the lace and pearls are from my stash.
What a gorgeous image she is, don't you think? She reminds me of those sweet farm girls who get up at o-dark-thirty to get her chores done and doesn't even question it.
Hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoyed making her! Now I hope she's not too thick for her books!

Punch It for Elphine House Australia
Easter is one of the biggest holidays for my family. My girls and I always try and make it to my Mom's house and spend the holiday surrounded by good food and family. This year the kids colored Easter eggs and what fun we had! Lots of blue and pink hands but the big fun far out weighted the discoloration. Allie has on a hat that I wore as a little girl. I didn't even know Mom had kept it all these years!
And here's the babies in their Easter bests! Alaina looks just so adorable in her blue and Allie is in the pink and getting into Aunt Gail's famous chocolate chip cheese dip!
Today starts a new challenge over at our Elphine House Australia Challenge Blog! Our ever talented leader, Lynda, challenged us to "Punch It!", and boy, did I ever! I used this fabulous Fairy Faye Flying High and just find her so adorable!
Isn't she just beautiful and enchanting? She's colored with copics and has some Stickles on the dandelion, wings, dress, and the sweet petals in her hair. The flowers in the right hand corner are handmade and I used a scalloped circle punch.
The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewarty as well as the branches and leaves. The corner punch n the right bottom is a punch from EK Success. the pearls are from Hero Arts and the papers are from a gorgeous My Mind's Eye pack called Happy Days. The stick pins are from BasicGrey and the flowers from Recollections.
Aren't the papers so soft and comforting? I just love them!
I hope you'll stop by our Elphine House Australia Challenge Blog and see the other fabulolus creations my designing sisters have come up with. They're really wonderful and all so different!
I hope you enjoy her as much as I did creating her. I think she's just a perfect little fairy and I'd love to be flying with her!

Glitter It Up for Elphine House Australia!
Don't you just love it when there's another challenge up by one of your favorite stamp lines? It's time over at our Elphine House Australia Design Team blog for our new challenge and this tie it's Glitter It Up!
Elphine House Australia has some of Elisabeth Bell's sweetest designs and I just can't get enough of them!
When I think glitter, I think princesses. This sweetie pie is Sophie on Timber Throne and I colored her with copics and added a ton of stickles and Diamong Glaze on her. The papers are from BasicGrey's Sultry pack and I made the flowers using my Cricut Flower Design cartridge. I cut her and the swirls out with Nestabilities and the pearls are from Studio 112. The lace is from my stash.
I absolutely the butterfly and her crown!
I'm giving you a couple side views because they give you an idea of what the flower are like.
I used the remaining papers on the inside of the card and added a couple of swirls to it.
I think she's simply adorable!
Make sure to stop over at our Elphine House Australia Design Team Blog and see the gorgeous creations that my sister design team members have come up with to inspire you. And go get your glitter on and join in our challenge! You can find all the details over at the blog.

Carrie Princess Thoughtful Breeze for Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge!
It's time for another challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog! Gosh this one was fun! We had a fabulous sketch to work with and I had a blast with it!
I used Carrie Princess Thoughtful Breeze from Elphine House Austrailia by Elisabeth Bell and I think she's an absolutely stunning cutie pop! I was in Atlanta this weekend to spend some time with Nichole, Branden, and my sweet Lainie Loo and I put her together while I was waiting for them to arrive and check in!
She's colored with copics and I added stickles to her top, pocket and flowers in her hair., The papers are from a My Mind's Eye pack and the pearls, big circle flower behind the image, and flowers are from Recollections.
Here's a close up of her sweet face. I just love that thoughtful, dreaming look she has in her eyes. I'd love to know what's weighing on her mind!
Make sure to stop over at the Elisabeth Bell World Challenge Blog and see the fabulous creations my fellow designing buddies have come up with to inspire you. They're simply stunning! I really hope you join us and I can't wait to see your take on this fun sketch!

Let's Hear It For The Boys for Elphine House Australia
It's time for another challenge over at the Elphine House Australia Design Team Blog! Hope you enjoyed our last challenge and we've got a fabulously fun one this time. Our theme is "Let's Hear It for the Boys!" This was great fun for me because I don't do many boy cards and I had a blast! I used Tommy Tell Tail of Ice Cream and you can find him at Elphine House Australia's shop!
Isn't he too cute?! There's nothing like seeing a cutie pie kid eating ice cream! Some of my favorite pictures of the girls when they were little was of them with ice cream. Elisabeth Bell captures the essence of childhood like no one else, if you ask me!
He's colored with copics in really bright primary colors and I added some Diamond Glaze to his icecream cone. I added some of my favorite papers from Basic Grey and cut out some butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch. The buttons have some Scrapper's Floss in them and I added some mesh behind the background. The swirl clip and baubles are from my stash. And I couldn't resist adding some Stickles to the butterfly.
I was going to add the clip where the red butterfly is by this cutie pop, but Allie stuck it on when I went to stir her noodles! Here's a peek of the inside.
I absolutely love him! I did resist adding on any flowers to him and I think that says a lot for me!
I'm entering him in the following challenges:
Going Grey With Scraps Challenge ( BINGO and I used Glitter, die cut/punches/buttons)
Craft Room Challenge (Something for a man)
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday (I'm Seeing Red, use red)
LEJ Designs Challenge Blog (Button mania)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog (Lots of Layers)
Oldies But Goodies Challenge (Bright colors)
Papertake Weekly (Buttons and Bling)
Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge Blog (Use the oldest designer paper in your stash)
Through The Craftroom Door (Always Anything Goes)
Use it Tuesdays Challenge Blog (Must be horded supplies, for me it's the buttons!)
Vickie's Challenges (Anything Goes)
Make sure to stop over at the Elphine House Australia Design Team blog and give a shout out to the boys in your life. I know there out there! Besides, my design team sisters have some fabulous inspiration for you!
