A Little Bit of Metal for Elphine House Australia

It's time again for another challenge over at Elphine House Australia!  This time, Lynda challenged us to use some metal on our project.  This was a stretch for me because metal is something that I don't have much of in the way of craft supplies or embellishments but I did the best I could with what I have!

Daisy: Standing Tall has always been one of my favorites and I thought she's be perfect for the metal sentiment I found.  It says "Moments" and when I look at this cutie pie, I see her remembering or either making a moment.

I colored her with copics and added some stickles to her dress, hat and flowers.  I cut her out with Nestabilities and added some pearls and glass gems on metal stems.  This gorgeous papers are from an Authentique paper pack called Remembrance that I got from Kim at Cutter's Creek.  The pearls are from Hero Arts, the ribbon is from Simplicity, and the sentiment is from Close to My Heart.

Absolutely gorgeous, don't you think?  I used some Diamond Glaze on the ribbon on her dress and hat.

Sassy Graduation for Sassy Studio Designs Progressive Challenge

After people decided to share the free images that Lindsay from Sassy Studio Designs was providing over at our Paper Craft Planet Group on Pinterest and everywhere else the social media goes these days,  she made a decision as an artist to discontinue sharing them.  It was really sad because those who used it responsibly had a blast with them and we had some great challenges and saw some fabulous work.  After some serious consideration, we are excited to announce that our Sassy Studio Designs Paper Craft Planet group is going to host a Progressive Challenge!  We're really excited about it and hope you'll pop on over and request the image and play along! The theme for this first challenge is "You Did It, Happy Graduation!" and our first image is Sassy Graduation.  Love her and here's my take on her:

She's so much fun!  She's colored with copics and a couple of Spectrum Noir Markers.  I added stickles on her gown and hat and some Diamond Glaze on the yoke of her gown.  The pearls are from Hero Arts and the top and bottom flowers are from Recollections and the middle one is handmade.  The papers are from Authentique and the Kraft card stock is from Stampin Up and the yellow is from Co'redination.  I used my Martha Stewart punch for the branches.

Doesn't she have the prettiest face?  All full of hope and dreams!

Carrie Princess Thoughtful Breeze for Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge!

It's time for another challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog!  Gosh this one was fun!  We had a fabulous sketch to work with and I had a blast with it!

I used Carrie Princess Thoughtful Breeze from Elphine House Austrailia by Elisabeth Bell and I think she's an absolutely stunning cutie pop!  I was in Atlanta this weekend to spend some time with Nichole, Branden, and my sweet Lainie Loo and I put her together while I was waiting for them to arrive and check in!  

She's colored with copics and I added stickles to her top, pocket and flowers in her hair.,  The papers are from a My Mind's Eye pack and the pearls, big circle flower behind the image, and flowers are from Recollections.  

Here's a close up of her sweet face.  I just love that thoughtful, dreaming look she has in her eyes.  I'd love to know what's weighing on her mind!

A Sassy Villians Release for Sassy Studio Designs

I've been in South Carolina with my daughter Nichole and my sweet little grandbaby, Lainie Loo Loo and have been having such a hard time with trying to use a new computer and not being able to download anything or print, I still wanted to participate in the blog hop and used one of my favorite images, Little Honey's Princess Aurora Honey. I thought she'd be appropriate in keeping with the theme of the release since Maleficient is in the release and she's my favorite of the Disney Fairy Tales! If you click on the photos, you can see the entire picture.   Sorry about the inconvenience but please hang in there with me until Wednesday, then I'll be back to normal!

  

Don't you just think she's the cutest thing? She's usually dressed in pink, but I loved her in blues. The papers are from one of my favorite companies, Authentique, and I love to layer and use different papers and patterns. I put lots of Stickles, pearls, and Diamond Glaze, some of my staples for my cards, and added some swirls from Close to My Heart. She's colored with copics (my go-to coloring medium), and I distressed all the different layers. Love the satiny pleated ribbon and just love everything about her!

As for my favorite project I created for Sassy Studio Designs in 2012, I chose my project for the Halloween Release we did and I got to present the Grimm Reaper:



I had so much fun with that project and loved the papers and all the embellishments I got to use. Hope you enjoyed it too!

Effie Trinket Sassy (2) by Sassy Studio Designs

I love the books and movie The Hunger Games.  One of my favorite characters is Effie Trinket because she's so over the top and outlandish!  Gotta love the girl who wants everything so proper and perfect.  The way she dresses just so chic and stylish.

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. and the challenge is a color challlenge:

I chose to use Effie Trinket Sassy (2) because she can carry anything off!  I love the blue n her har and the lipstick!  She's really such a stylish icon!

I love this paper from Authentique and wanted it to compliment her rather than take away from the image.

The blues are fabulous and such a perfect color for any season!  While I love everything about Christmas, it's a nice break from all the reds and greens, don't you think?  Come on over to C.R.A.F.T. and join in on their color challenge.

Towel Tammy

I love a nice, hot, bubbly bath.  I solve all my problems, my kids problems, the world's problems, daydream, read, plan, relax and just shut totally down in a big old tub.  Nothing better.  But it could just be my luck, and we all know how my luck goes, but once the water starts to cool down, so does my problem solving abilities!

Sassy Studio Designs has a freebie every Friday over at their Paper Craft Planet group and last week's image was Towel Tammy.  Oh, she speaks to me and love for all things related to a bath!

Isn't she just something?!  I colored her with copics and hold the blogging world together, but I didn't add any stickles!  I did, however, add some Diamond Glaze to her lips for a hint of shine.  The papers are from Authentique's Essentials Collection and I love them!  It's the first time I've used them and I'm going to get me some more!  I added some Baubles and a sheer ribbon with a Basic Grey button.  I cut out the image and the outline with my Nestabilities.

I think her face looks so relaxed and gorgeous!

I added some Scattered Straw distressed ink around the edges of the image and to the inside of the writing area.

I loved these cherry colored Baubles so much I added them to the inside.
