Theodora Sassy, Full of Strength and Confidence

Are you sick of hearing from me yet?  I sure hope not because I've got a lot more to show and say!  I won't bore you totally today because I've got a pretty busy day planned.  I am off to look at a few apartments and still on the hunt for a job.  For that, I need some confidence and strength.  When I first saw this gorgeous image, Theodora Sassy, from the Oz the Great and Powerful release from Sassy Studio Designs, those are two qualities that I saw in her that I just admired.

Today, Crafts 4 Eternity is being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs and their challenge calls for 3 patterned papers.  Well, I gave them 3 for sure!  If you follow me at all, you know I love me some papers!

Theodora Sassy is colored with copics and fussy cut.  I framed her on some Nestabilities and the kraft card stock is from Stampin Up and the patterned paper is from a gorgeous paper pack called Discover from My Mind's Eye.  The Lace is from Cloud 9, the pearls from Studio 112, and the highlights are done with my Jelly Roll Clear glitter pen.  and her ring is a fun diamond flower gem that Tiffany got me years ago.  I think it's perfect for her!

Look at that stunning face.  Just love it!

Carrie Princess Thoughtful Breeze for Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge!

It's time for another challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog!  Gosh this one was fun!  We had a fabulous sketch to work with and I had a blast with it!

I used Carrie Princess Thoughtful Breeze from Elphine House Austrailia by Elisabeth Bell and I think she's an absolutely stunning cutie pop!  I was in Atlanta this weekend to spend some time with Nichole, Branden, and my sweet Lainie Loo and I put her together while I was waiting for them to arrive and check in!  

She's colored with copics and I added stickles to her top, pocket and flowers in her hair.,  The papers are from a My Mind's Eye pack and the pearls, big circle flower behind the image, and flowers are from Recollections.  

Here's a close up of her sweet face.  I just love that thoughtful, dreaming look she has in her eyes.  I'd love to know what's weighing on her mind!

Katniss Girl of Fire Sizzling

I love to read.  I can't imagine not having a love for reading and experiencing all the wonderful adventures that are laid in front of you between the cover of a book.  One of my aunts always encouraged me to read and told me that if I had a book, there wasn't anywhere I couldn't go or nothing that I couldn't do while sitting in a chair or laying in bed with a book.  I've lived and traveled on the prairie with the Ingalls family, watched my father practice law in a powerful trial in To Kill A Mockingbird (my absolutely all time favorite book ever, right beside my beloved Potters!)

My girls can get me to read just about anything.  We started this reading game about the time Harry Potter came out.  I challenged them to read one Harry Potter book and they enticed me into reading the Twilight series.  I still have a series to read for Nichole, but she kept at me to read the Hunger Games series.  I finally gave in while I was spending time with her before our beloved Lainie Loo was born.  Once I started, I was so hooked!  So to pay tribute to my daughter for having great taste in books and having become a reader who truly enjoys the entire reading process and loves to support her local library, I give you Katniss Girl of Fire Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs.   Nichole, honey, this one is for you.

  

I just love their images!  Katniss Girl of Fire Sassy was colored with Koh-I-Noor colored pencils with odorless mineral spirits.  I had such a great time using them.  I followed the monthly sketch from the Sassy Studio Design blog and had so much fun working with someone else's design.  I used me some stickles on her gown where I think flames would be, gave her lips a bit of shine with some Diamond Glaze, added some Studio One glass beads, my Martha Stewart border punch and the paper is from Basic Grey.  Here is a close up of her gorgeous face:

Roses on Paper Design Team Sketch -

Today over at Roses on Paper's Design Team Challenge blog, we have a sketch challenge created by our inspiring and talented Iris and I just loved putting this cutie together. Here's the sketch:



I pulled out one of my favorite Magnolias, Tila with Hearts, and colored her up with my copics and used some of my favorite Infuse paper from BasicGrey. Summer carries lots of different BasicGrey papers and Magnolias stamps and you can pick them up at Roses on Paper. Here's what I came up with:



I found these cute heart sticker type brads from K&Company and I thought they were perfect to touch up the ribbon and I simply adore the sentiment from Sentiment Salon! What is better than printing off sentiments and putting them on a card? That is so easy for me!
