Little Momma Blog Hop for The Digi Bells!

It is always so much fun to be able to show off a new Elisabeth Bell design!  That's what I get to share with you today!  I'm really glad you stopped by and if you came to me from the outstanding talented Rose's blog, then you're on the right track.  If not, make sure to start at the very beginning, at Mary Lou's blog because I don't want you to miss a thing!  So here we go!

Please welcome ** Little Mama ** to our little family of Elisabeth Bell Digi's....
Blog hop starts on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 9:00am (Arizona time)
ending on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 9:00am (Arizona time)

I fell in instant love with this sugar baby when I saw her!  Isn't she just so stinkin cute you could eat her up?  She reminded me of a picture Tiffany took of Allie when she was playing dress up.  She put on her pokanot (polka dot!) dress and her momma's black suede high heels, grabbed her Baby and started strutting her stuff.  Here's the picture that reminded me so much of Little Mama.

Can't you see the resemblance?  It's uncanny if you ask me!

This cutie pop is colored with copics and I added some stickles to her skirt, top, and flower in her hair.  The frame is the floral oval Nestabilities die and the papers are from DCWV and My Mind's Eye.  Love all of their stuff!  The Pearls and flowers are from Recollections with a couple of  hand made flowers thrown in, the ribbon is from Simplicity, and the flowers and hearts in the flower bunches are from my stash.  I got the charm at my local scrapbook store and the little pin and sentiment are from BasicGrey.

I thought I'd show the inside for Judy since it's been awhile since I've shown the inside of my cards.

Here are a couple more views of her.

She just makes me smile!

Here she is again.  I forgot to mention that I used some Distressed Ink on the edges of the frame and on the inside.

Now it's time to head on over to my dear friend and oh so talented leader, Lynda's blog and see the fabulous project she has in store for you!  I can't wait for you to see it so hurry on over!  Time's a wasting and Little Mama doesn't have a minute to spare!

Magazine Margie - Loving to Read!

There's just something wonderful about a good book that takes you right out of your life and plops you in the middle of a new situation, circumstances, or even entirely new world!  My girls all love to read and we have all read the Harry Potter and Twilight books and Nichole and I have read the Hunger Games series.  There's something about reading with your children, regardless of their age, that feels as natural as breathing.

This cutie doll, Magazine Margie, was a free image from Sassy Studio Designs and I totally love her!  Everything about her screams, "Make me a bookmark!"  I made her red and grey because my sister is a big reader and an even bigger Ohio State fan!  There is a challenge over there to create something using a Back to School theme so here's my take!

I colored her with copics and Spectrum Noir pens and I really liked them!  The papers are from my sister's stash and the baubles, ribbon, and charms are from mine.  She has some stickles on her top but they didn't really come out so well in the pictures.  I think it may have been how I had her positioned.

Doesn't she have the sweetest face?  I'll just bet she's a smarty-pants!

I tried to fussy cut her and I'm not quite sure how that came out.  It was different not cutting directly on the black outline!

Here are the charms I added.  Most are from Blue Moon and the key is from Tim Holtz.

I think everyone should go pick up a great book and make a bookmark!  Those of us with kids out of school can donate them if we don't read but what a great gift to ourselves - a little bit of our crafting talents for us to go with the wonderfully magical world those fabulous authors give us.  All we need is a cup of coffee or tea and life will be perfect!

Try It Out Tuesday - Catherine the Vet

It's been way too long since I've been visiting with you all! Sorry I've been gone, but my mom's been in the hospital, I've been working more at my part time job and I spent the weekend stamping at Stamp New England and meeting people I've admired and learned so much from on the web. I've been gone long enough though and I think Tuesday is a great day to rejoin the world of blogging.

Our Try It Tuesday Challenge passed down to us by our talented, ever fabulous leader, Suzanne Dean, for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD), was to create a card with a stamp from Anki's Sweethearts, illustrated by our very own Anki Bargman and sold exclusively through Susana, and use only two layers and two embellishments. Man, was this hard for me! I didn't realize how much I shimmerzed, stickled, flowered and glitzed up things until tonight. Well, Suzanne, I did the best I could!

I've loved Catherine the Vet ever since I laid eyes on her. She's just the kind of vet I'd love to have taking care of my Hagrid. I think the bandaide on the little puppy's behind is too cute! I love this adorable paper with doggie food from Bo Bunny that I've had in my stash. I've had it since I brought my Hagrid home. I gave the bottom of the card and the circle a bit of texture by using a cuttlebug folders and popped Catherine and her bag up with some dimensionals. I used some Scrapper's Floss in Tan as ribbon to hold the gold heart charm, just like my little Hagrid holds my heart.

Make sure you stop over to our Design Team blog, Follow Your Heart, to check out my other fellow Design Team buddie's creations. They're just fabulous!

I promise not to be gone so long from now. I've really missed spending time with you. I'll be back tomorrow to share some pictures from Stamp New England with you all. It was a great time!

Card Ingredients; Catherine the Vet from Anki's Sweethearts for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, Scrapper's Floss, Blue Moon Heart Charm, Copics, Atyou Spica Glitter pen, cuttlebug folders, nestabilities, Bo Bunny Paper.

Goodluckabella and Mis Chief the Devilish Leprechaun!

I adore Stamping Bella and have never met a Bella that I didn't like! It's the same way with these Smirks! Both of these lines just catch my imagination and send it off! Mostly everything I used for these I got from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD).

Goodluckabella just makes me smile! She's done as my first card for the new StampingBellalicious yahoo grooup that's been started. If you love Bellas, we'd love to have you come and join us! She's so cute collecting up all her four leaf clovers and putting them in her pot of gold! I love the bow on her pot of gold and all the glitter on her!

And then there's Miss Chief, by Smirks, as an Irish leprechaun! Now she makes me laugh out loud! One of the girls I work with at the bowling alley asked me to work for her on St. Patrick's Day because she just turned 21 last weekend and it's her first big holiday out to celebrate. This will be Nikki - Glitter, tail and all! And the croocked sentiment "Trouble with a capital T" will be perfect!

If you like these cutie Smirks, Susana is offering a special from her store. If you buy 3 SMIRK stamps get a free SMIRK sentiment stamp just note in comments which one you would like when you check out offer good thru the 15th!!! With these cutie pies being only $3.95 a piece, you can scoop up a ton of them! Just tell her I sent you!

Believe it or not, but it's not even 11:00 and I'm off to bed. I'm hopefully going to find my pot of gold at the end of that rainbow in my dreams!

Card ingredients: Miss Chief by Smirks, Trouble With a Capital T by Smirks, Goodluckabella from Stamping Bella, 24K Gold Glitter Dots, Metallic Dew Drops, Blue Moon gold heart charm, Petals, ribbon and gold thread, hatpin, stickles, copics,

Sketch Saturday - Que Sera, Sera

I've had the best time with Coco and all the other talented Design Team members at Sketch Saturday! Thank you so much for having me! It was such an honor to be the first Guest Deisgner and I know that whoever follows after me will have as good a time and be made to feel as welcome as I was. What a great sketch I had to work with!

I've had a hard week and I wanted to do something fun and bright and this Tilda with Hat fit the bill! You can pick her up from Summer at Roses on Paper. I colored her with copics and used "Que Sera Sera" paper from K&Company. I love the bright, vivid colors that come in it. I think this Tilda just pops off the page! I love yellow and orange together. They just make me happy! And I have to thank my best buddy, Lynn, for the idea of using the diecuts to make a bench or table. I have her to thank for the ideas of all the embellishments. I love you my friend!

I hope she brings some sunshine into your life today. I had such a blast presenting her to you. And Coco and you gifted stampers at Sketch Saturday, thanks again for a bright spot in my stamping life! You guys rock!

Make sure to stop by Summer's blog, If Only I Could Stamp, and check out her sweet blog candy. It's pretty yummy!

We'll Always Have Paris

I've always wanted to see Paris. I'd love to sit along one of the cafes and sip really strong coffee, wear a beret and watch all the people walk by. I've always loved the flavor of fashion, cosmetics and glamour. Since I have no idea as to when I might make it there, I visit every chance a I get in my mind.

Our Design Team challenge for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design store blog this week was to create a Valentine's Day card without using a card specifically designed for Valentine's Day. I reached for my Weekend Poster from Rubber Romance. She has such an elegant, beautiful line to her. She's all dressed up and I think it's to go and celebrate with her someone special. The paper is from The Sweet Collection from DCWV and she's colored with copics and I used Bella Baubles in Oyster and a Blue Moon Charm on her to add that last finishing touch to her. I adore her!

Stop by Follow Your Heart, the store's blog, and take a look at what my talented Design Team Sisters came up with. You'll not be disappointed! Also make sure you stop by PCP and take advantage of some great Web candy that Susana is offering. Who can pass up the opportunity to win a great Rubber Romance stamp signed by Robyn, the Owner/Illustrator? Good luck!

Here's My Heart

This next Roses on Paper Design Team was created by our incredibly talented Peta, and what fun it was! It was masking with a Valentine's theme and she wanted us to all use a rose somehow on our card, because it's Summer's favorite flower.

I love Melinda Hugging a Heart by Whiff of Joy and couldn't resist using her for this challenge. I masked her and stamp one single rose from a set from Inkadinkado after I sponged the background. Below is a close-up of the flower masking. I love the soft effect it gave my card.

You can pick up most of what was used for this card from Summer. Everyone can use a Valentine's Day card so take a stop by our Roses on Paper Design Team Blog and see all the other great cards created by my extremely tallented Design Team Sisters.

Card Ingredients: Melinda Hugging a Heart, Prima flowers, Dew Drops, Blue Moon Charms, Ice Stickles, ribbon, Bittersweet paper from Basic Grey white opaque pen, clear glaze Jelly Roller, SU ticket corner punch.

Hey Cupcake and WOJ Challenge

Cupcakes, Tilda, pink, greens, browns, glimmer, glitz, flowers. It just doesn't get much better than this! I love this Tilda and even though this is from one of the Winter Collections, she's perfect for Valentine's Day sitting on this big, adorable cupcake! Who can resist a big, chocolate cupcake with pink frosting? I can just taste the sweet, creamy frosting and that soft, melt in your mouth chocolate cake. And Valentine's Day wouldn't be complete without the candy hearts instead of sprikles! You can get everything for this card from Summer at Roses on Paper. She's got a great selection of Tilda's and such fun supplies and embellishments!

Another of my favorite things is reading and Melinda from Whiff of Joy. What's the perfect story for the big V Day? Love Story, of course! I'm going to date myself, but I remember getting this book when it first came out from my book club and I've lost count of how many times I've read it and don't ask about how many times I've seen the movie. It's criminal! The Whiff of Joy Challenge blog thsi week is to create a valentine and I went with the most romantic story I could think of!

While you're looking around, stop over at PCP at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and take a look at her great giveaway. She's got a $25 gift certificate for her sore and some fun, sassy Rubber Romance stamps signed by the owner and illustrator, Robyn Ireland. You have to stop by and check out all the details! I hope you enjoy both of these. I've had such fun working on them.

Card Ingredients: Magnolia Stamps, Hey Cupcake by Alota Rubber Stamps, Melinda Reading Book by Whiff of Joy, Bittersweet by Basic Grey, Prisma Flowers, Iced Stickles, Dew Drops, Distressed Inks, Copics, Sweet paper from DCWV, Pearls by Kaiser, spacers, beads, ribbon, nestabilities, Glitter Stack by DCWV, Glimmer Mist, Heart charms by Blue Moon.

Hoo loves you?

I love Valentine's Day, digi stamps, and Basic Grey Papers. The combination of the three together just puts me in stamping heaven! I had a little bit of time last week so I visited the Basic Grey Challenge blog and found the cutest digi stamps that were to be used in their challenge and went to town. I got the card done, but was having so many problems with losing my internet signal and connection that I missed joining the challenge. I asked Kim, who designed the digi images for the challenge if she minded if I still posted the card using her images and she said sure! She was so great about it and I think all of you should visit her blog. She's got fabulous cards and is going to be doing some of her own digi stamps for sale! I'll be there to help start her on her adventure!

When I saw this beauty, I knew I wanted to use my Basic Grey Bittersweet paper and the sketch is from i{heart}2stamp. I loved this sketch and plan on using it tons more! I love the sweetness of her and the dreamy look she has on her face. I remember sitting with Tiffany and Nichole while they were doing the valentines and making sure that no one in the class was missed. The far off distant look in her eyes reminds me of Tiffany trying to decide which boy would get the best valentine out of her pack. And then there was the year that Nichole decided not to give any of the boys in her class a valentine at all. That was until her dad conviced her that she needed to be nice to the boys because they always brought the best chocolate! She gave them valentines, but reluctantly! Always the rebel, my baby girl was!

I hope you enjoy her because she was such fun making!

Card Ingredients: Valentine digi stamps from Kim, Sentiment by H&M Stamps, Bittersweet paper by Basic Grey, Ribbon by Basic Grey, nestabilities, copics, spica glitter pen, Distressed Inks, beads from Joann's

Julia and Paper Piecing

Reading has always been a passion of mine. I'll read anything. Be it a toothpaste box, great book, The Good Book, blogs, newspapers, magazines. You name it and I'll read it. I've had the urge to re-read the Harry Potter series for, well, we won't go into what time around it is for me and Harry!

One of our talented design team members, Danni, from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, did a tutorial on paper piecing. You can see it at the Store's blog, Follow Your Heart. Since it's something I haven't done before, I thought I'd give it a try. Julia from Rubber Romance was perfect to paper piece. The papers are from the Abstract Pack from Dovecraft, only available in the states from Susana! I followed Danni's tutorial and I think she came out fabulous! And other than Julia's skin the the floor and the distressed wall behind her, everything on the front of the card was paper pieced! I used the sketch from Stamping Vacation's Just Sketchy sketch and loved it. Thanks, Danni, for such a fun stamping evening!

Now, I'm off to start Chapter 1 of Book 1 of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!

Card Recipe: Julia from Rubber Romance, Abstract Pack from Dovecraft, 14 Karat Glitter dots, Gold Sparklers, Glossy Accent, Atyou Clear Glitter pen, Blue Moon heart charms, ribbon.

Alva and Daisies

Pixies and faeries have just captured my heart lately. I've fallen in love with them and when one of my favorite companies, Magnolia, put out these cute little Alva's, I was hooked! I took one look at my Designer Team packet Summer from Roses on Paper sent me and I was a goner! Sitting Alva and Big Daisy are perfect to watch over the beautiful flowers that will be chosen for Valentines Day!
