80's To The Max Release and Blog Hop for Sassy Studio Designs!

Oh, "Close your eyes, hear the rhythm,"  how I love a good 80's song!  "What a Feeling"!  Anyone out there remember that?  Well, I do!  I'm a child of disco and loved it!  That's why I'm having so much fun with our new release from Sassy Studio Designs!  The release is called "80's To The Max" and Lindsay has some fabulous designs for you!

This release is really special because it's a celebration of what seems to be most of our design team's birthdays and we're so lucky to have one of our designing team sisters, Regan, back for this release!  Our blog hop is including the outstandingly talented members of the Corrosive Challenge design team so we're really psyched about this release!

Well, if you've come to my blog from my fabulous and very talented sister, Chris's blog, then you're on the right track.  If not, boogie on over to the Sassy Studio Designs blog and start there.  I don't want you to miss a single memory from the 80's with this release!  OK, so from my first paragraph, can you guess what image I got to play with?  Yep, I'm presenting Flashdance Sassy!

I can just feel her energy!  She's colored with copics and cut out with Spellbinders.  I made a center step card and used the gorgeous papers from the Black Currant paper pack from DCWV.  The gems are from Studio G and the lace is from Cloud 9.

Sassy and gorgeous, isn't she?  I added some stickles to her leggings, sweatshirt and top.

Here's a view of the shirt cuffs and cuff links.  I love that part of the movie where Alex is having dinner with Nick and she takes her blazer off and is sitting there at dinner with her cuffs and tuxedo bow tie on!  Actually, the cuffs are just some card stock with a hole punched into the middle and some cuff links put through them!  Simple, but i hope they give the effect!

I added a computer generated sentiment.  I hope from the sentiment you can figure out what age this card is for!

Just a couple more views of this sassy girl!

Since Alex is on stage so much in the movie, I hoped the lace would kind of give the effect of a stage curtain.

So now do the hustle on over to the uber talented Julie's blog and see what fabulous happening she has going on for you!  And remember, leave a comment every where so you get the chance to win a free image.  These are such fun, I'd hate for you to miss out on the chance to get something free to play with!  I hope you're having as much fun looking as we have had creating!

Christmas in July for Elisabeth Bell's World

Oh, there's something refreshing about Christmas in July!  Just the thought of it kind of breaks up the year and gets me thinking about all the things I need to get done before the actual holiday gets here!  This challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World is themed Christmas in July.  I love older things and decided to pull out one of my all time favorite Christmas paper and stamp to ink up.  Hope you enjoy them!

This is Star of Bethlehem from Belles n' Whistles and it's currently not available.  I hope these images can come back because they're just so enchanting and I loved every single one of them.  I fell in love with this stamp when it first came out.  It was for our first Christmas release and gosh, I just love the serenity and innocence here.

When I decided to use this one, I knew exactly the paper I wanted to use, an older paper pack from BasicGrey called Wassail.  I actually won this from my dear stamping idol, Suzanne Dean, and I am very fussy about when I use it!  These adorable baby dolls are colored with copics and I added some Stickles to the star, garland, and to the bear and gown of the youngest cutie pie. I did just a touch of Diamond Glaze on the ribbon in the oldest's hair.  The poinsettia and Christmas ball are from Prima and the ribbon and pearls are from Cloud 9.

Don't they look just too adorable parading the Star of Bethlehem around?

I think these are two of the prettiest babies that Ms. Bell has ever created!

Here's a couple more looks before I leave you.

I hope you'll come on over to Elisabeth Bell's World and join in on our challenge.  We love to see what you create and with the temperatures rising, I think everyone deserves to cool off with a little bit of holiday spirit!  Have a great day!

Theodora Sassy, Full of Strength and Confidence

Are you sick of hearing from me yet?  I sure hope not because I've got a lot more to show and say!  I won't bore you totally today because I've got a pretty busy day planned.  I am off to look at a few apartments and still on the hunt for a job.  For that, I need some confidence and strength.  When I first saw this gorgeous image, Theodora Sassy, from the Oz the Great and Powerful release from Sassy Studio Designs, those are two qualities that I saw in her that I just admired.

Today, Crafts 4 Eternity is being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs and their challenge calls for 3 patterned papers.  Well, I gave them 3 for sure!  If you follow me at all, you know I love me some papers!

Theodora Sassy is colored with copics and fussy cut.  I framed her on some Nestabilities and the kraft card stock is from Stampin Up and the patterned paper is from a gorgeous paper pack called Discover from My Mind's Eye.  The Lace is from Cloud 9, the pearls from Studio 112, and the highlights are done with my Jelly Roll Clear glitter pen.  and her ring is a fun diamond flower gem that Tiffany got me years ago.  I think it's perfect for her!

Look at that stunning face.  Just love it!

Here's a couple of views from the side of her.  I love her body language!

I plan on entering her in the following challenges:

Charisma Cardz - polka dots
Diva By Designs - movie inspired
Simon Says Stamps - anything goes
Cuttin and Stampin Challenge - cinco de Mayo
Sketch N Stash - Sketch

Come on over and join in the fun and show off some of that paper you know you've got stock piled somewhere!  Put those layers on and show them off!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for our new release from Sassy Studio Designs!  It's gonna be yummy!

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs

So, so sorry about how this post came out!  I thought I saved it as a draft but I guess not!  It's Time for a Dare To Be Sassy Thursday over at Sassy Studio Designs!  Our theme this week is Feeling Funny.  I decided to use my French Maid that I've had for a while but haven't colored up yet.  There is so much you can do with her.  I thought she was so sassy that this time I decided to use her with a very cheeky sentiment.

This sexy thing is colored with copics, has some stickles on her hat, bows, and cuffs and is cut out with Nestabilities.  The lace is from Cloud 9, the pearls are from Studio 112,m and this is some of my favorite paper from DCWV's Black Current paper pack.  The flowers are handmade and the sentiment I printed from my computer.

Here's a close up of this gorgeous face.

Here's the inside.  I left enough room to write something very witty!

This card opens from the side rather than the top.  I made this card larger than I usually do so I folded the paper a little differently than I normally do.

I hope you've enjoyed her as much as I loved putting her together.  Make sure to stop over at our Sassy Studio Designs blog and see all the fabulous, funny cards my designing sisters have in store for you!  Join in our challenge for a chance to win an image or two!  We'd love to see your wit!

Allie's, I Mean, Pati's Kisses for the Digi Bells

When I saw this adorable digi from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection, I knew I had to have her!  She reminds me so much of my granddaughter, Allie.  Her mom has been winning her some stuffed animals out of a machine that she has at her work.  When she bring them home, Allie holds them up and acts like each one of them is the best present she's ever received!  It's my day to post over at The Digi Bells Design Team Blog and this cutie kept coming to my mind.

I colored her with Copics and added a little bit of stickles to her hair tie, bear and shirt.  She also has some Diamond glaze on her headband.  The papers are some older paper from Daisy D papers, the green card stock is from DCWV and the gems are from Cloud 9.  The layout is from the Deconstructed Sketch.  I'm entering her in their challenge.

I  just love her sweet self!

Here's a peek at the inside.

I love me some Sassy Studio Designs and am so excited when something different happens with them.  We usually have a release every month but due to some computer problems and time constraints, we're doing something different this time.  We're have a blog hop and the theme is Green With Envy and we're piling on the green!  If you came to me from Lori's blog, then you're on the right track. Wasn't her project fabulous?!   If not, head on over to our Sassy Studio Designs Blog and start from there.  All the details are listed but the jest of it is stop by each of the Design Team member's blogs, some today and then the rest tomorrow, and see what our favorite image is!  Leave a comment and each member will be chosing their favorite comment and that person will get that member's favorite image for FREE!  I can tell you from personal experience that this is a great way to get some of the images that are on sale in the store for FREE. Any who, here's my favorite!

For there, there's a toss up between the Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars as my all time favorite movie series, and all for different reasons!  But oh, I do love me some Star Wars and Princess Leia is one of my favorite heroines!  I love her strength and that she can really take care of herself.  I went the the spring green colors for her and the pictures just don't do her justice!  Isn't she gorgeous?  And if you leave a comment, you stand the chance to pick her up for FREE!

I used the layout from the Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog and I love it!  It's a keeper and I'm going to use it again!

Here she is a little closer.

She's colored with copics and has Star Dust Stickles on her dress.  I added some Diamond Glaze to her gun and lips.  The papers are from an older Basic Grey paper pack called Sultry and I love it!  I've been hoarding it!  I added some glitter tape to the middle and some swirls from Cloud 9.  I made the flowers on the corner and added some branches with my Martha Stewart punch and threw some Scrapper's Floss in.

Here's a couple of side views where you can see the dimension of the flowers and a peek to the inside.

Here's the inside.  I came up with the saying from the movie.  I'm sure after Valentine's Day, some people feel like saying this!

Immortal Love for Fabulous Freebie Friday for Sassy Studio Designs

I just love Fabulous Freebie Friday over at the Sassy Studio Designs Paper Craft Planet group!  Lindsay generously posts a sassy freebie and it's only available for 24 hours.  Make sure to stop over because you won't want to miss this one!

This is a day I've been dreading and looking forward to.  I dread it because the last movie in the Twilight series is being released today.  I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoyed reading them.  I always love finding something that my girls and I can do together and reading a fun series is something we can do even though we don't live close.  Today, hopefully, I'll get to go see the movie with some of my favorite girls, my nieces!  Breaking Dawn Part 2 I'm sure will be action packed and full of suspense, romance, and action.  Oh and for me, Jacob!  Yep, I'm team Jacob all the way!  I so enjoyed reading the series with my daughters, just like I did all the Harry Potter books.  Now, after the Hunger Games, my daughter Nichole has me started reading the Mortal Instrument books.  I've got two so I'll be off on a new series.

Here's my take on Immortal Love:

Aren't they gorgeous?  I colored Edward and Bella with copics and Spectrum Noir markers and the papers are from the Immortal Love paper pack from DCWV.  I used some Glitter Spray on the image and the background paper.  The swirls are from Cloud 9 and the flowers from Recollections.  The pearls are from my stash. I love the Wonky Rectangles dies from Spellbinders.  They just seemed to fit this image to me.  I also added some Black Soot Distressed Ink around the edges of the image and the inside.

Here's a quick peek on the sides.

You can see the Spellbinder Floral Swirls I used for the inside.

Here's a closer view of the happy couple.  It was hard to get a really good picture of them with the Glitter Spray on them.

Here's a good view of the inside.  I love this paper and will be sad to put it away for a while.

Make sure to stop by the Sassy Studio Designs blog tomorrow for our new release for Sassy Studio Designs called The Joy of Giving!  I can't wait for you all to see these precious projects that my fellow Fabettes have in store for you!  There some fabulous ideas for you to start off the holiday season right!  Hope to see you there!
