Beatrice Buttons by Sherri Baldy Stamps

Button, button, who's got the button?  Anyone remember that?  This saying came right to my mind when I saw this adorable image, Beatrice Buttons, from Sherri Baldy Stamps at Scrapbook Stamp Society! So head on over and check out the fabulous work of all the talented artists there.  I promise you won't be disappointed with what whimsical and fantastically fantasy images you'll find!  There's something for everyone!

If you've read much of my blog, you'll know that sewing was my introduction into the crafting world and I loved to use buttons.  Blouses were always my favorite thing to make because I got to pick out buttons and make buttonholes!  Silly, it may sound, but it's the truth.  In fact, my favorite blouse was a sapphire blue silk blouse that had a mock turtleneck and faux scarf and had buttons halfway down the back of the blouse.  Loved that blouse and I'm not sure if it was because of the color or the buttons!

Isn't Miss Beatrice a beauty?

I colored her with copics and used some Stickles around her dress and strap around her headband.  I cut her out using my nestabilities and made the flowers with my Spellbinders Bitty Blooms die.  The branches are a Martha Stewart punchy and the gems from my stash, and the papers are from K&Company and DCWV.

Isn't her face just the cutest little thing?

Here's a couple of peeks into the inside.

I tried to do the inside a little different, but it's not as creative as I'd have liked.  Still gotta work on that!

I hope you enjoy this cutie pie as much as I enjoyed working on her.  All these buttons are making me want to pull out my sewing machine and sew!  Hope everyone has a great day!

Ragamuffin Mer Baby

Mermaids are so magical and enchanting to me.  I love to collect mermaid stamps and  color them up in so many different ways.  You can do just about anything in the world with them.  I love to color them in colors that you would find under the sea.  Sherri Baldy from Sherri Baldy Stamps has some just adorable and sexy mermaids at Scrapbook Stamp Society.  Here's Ragamuffin Mer Baby:

Isn't she beautiful?  She's colored with my copics and has Stickles all over her skirt and fins and Glossy Accents on her eyes, lips and top.  I used Baubles because they reminded me of bubbles and the papers are from Pocketful of Posies from DCWV.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Gosh, I love her sweet face!

Here's a peek of the inside from each side.

And here's the inside.

I love all of her designs and will be back with some more!  Head on over to Scrapbook Stamp Society and see the fabulously fun and versatile images Sherri has.  You'll be so amazed!

Sherri Baldy Sweetie Needs A Name

I've been taken with the artwork of Sherri Baldy and absolutely adore her whimsical and sweet images.   I love how you can look at her images and just see that each image has their own story behind them.  You'll be seeing more of her work here from me!  You can find her images at Scrapbook Stamp Society.

Today I want to share the cutest image but this cutie needs a name!

She's colored with copics and has Stickles on her flower, around the top of her hat, petticoat, ears and a touch on her bear.  Glossy accents is on her collar, ribbon and on the bears tongue.  She's cut out with my spellbinders and I used my new Floral Flourish and the paper is from a DCWV calender pack.

The lace and pearls are from my stash.

Here's a close up of her sweet little face.  Adorable, isn't she?

I added a flourish to the inside and inked around the edges of the paper in Antique Linen distressed inks.

We can't let this cutie go too much longer with out a name!  Head over the Sherri Baldy Art and leave her a suggestion.  You could win this baby for free!  Enjoy!

Whoa Nellie's Pumpkin!

I'm in a Halloween mood! We got a ton of it in at work and I spent the last two days setting up Halloween costumes and had a blast!  I also put out some new paper by DCWV called Bewitched and just had to have it!  And when I get it, I have to use it!  I'm really impatient when it comes to paper.  I've been looking for some stamps that really made me stop and just go, "Wow, I love that!" and I found it with Sherri Baldy's stamps! They're fun, a little sassy, and just as sweet as they can be!  Oh, look at this cutie, Nellie's Pumpkin:

Isn't she just a cutie pie sitting up there on that huge pumpkin?  I think she looks like a little pumpkin patch pixie!  I love her sweet cat and have named her Smokey!  She's colored with copics and I used some stickles on her underskirt, row and in the pumpkin's cutouts.  The flowers were made by me and yep, I stickled them!  The papers are from the Bewitched stack from DCWV and I made the bow by using a great tutorial on my friend, Karen's blog.  I finally have a bow that I like!  I used some baubles on the top corner and on the inside.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the edging on the band on the card, but it's hard to tell.  You can see it on the inside so much better.

I love her sweet face and wanted to show you a picture of it close up.

Isn't her dress just the cutest thing?  And I love the detail in her little stockings!  Here's a peek of the inside:

And the inside, just for Judy!

I hope you enjoy my little bit of the spooky side and hope you'll stop by and take a look at the extremely talented artists at the Scrapbook Stamp Society.  So much talent and inspiration to be found there!  Have a great day everyone!
