Presenting Lil' Miss Poppy by Belles N' Whistles!

The time is finally here and Belles N' Whistles is now officially open for orders and cuteness! I was absolutely thrilled earlier this year when I found out that Summer was one of the stores chosen to present Elisabeth Bell's images and could hardly believe my good fortune of being able to presents these sweeties to you! I hope you enjoy them because to be honest, there's too much sweetness, cunninness (it's a New England word to mean adorable!), and adorableness in this collection!

I'd like you to meet Lil' Miss Poppy! Isn't she just the cutest thing? I just adore her hair and the sweetness she has about her. I was so excited to get to present her1 When I heard her name, I knew I wanted to use this vivid collection of paper from BasicGrey called Junebug! Perfect to showcase this cutie-pop!

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black on GinaK Luxury Paper (gosh, I becoming a paper snob because I love working with her paper!) and colored her with copics. I love this weeks sketch from SCS so I followed that for her. I added a Prima Flower and ribbon to the layers and used my BasicGrey Bling in the top corner and put some stickles on the flowers and used a glaze pen on the ribbon in her hair to make it look like satin. Her basket of flowers are touched with a glitter pen and I love the brad in the middle of the flowers! I thought the paper needed just a tiny bit of dimension so I ran it through my cuttlebug using my dotted swiss folder. All in all, I think adorable comes to mind!

Roses on Paper Challenge - Hearts, and Belles N' Whistles release date!

First off, I just have to let everyone know that Belles N' Whistles will be open tomorrow to start taking your orders for these sweet new images done by the ever so talented Elisabeth Bell! The day is finally here that you can start picking out your papers and planning on creating with these sweet cuties! Look back tomorrow or Saturday for some great samples of my cards used with these stamps. You'll be able to start posting your own cards made with these sweet things towards the end of this week coming up, Summer is so fast with her shipping! I just had to tell you all about this before I went on about my card for this week's Roses on Paper Design Team Challenge! I'm so excited for all of you to get and enjoy these uber cute (as my girls would say!) stamps!



I'm so late with getting my card up for the Roses on Paper Design Team Challenge Blog that is being put out by our lovely, terribly talented Lim! She had us do a card with hearts and I chose my Tilda with Bunch of Roses for this. I so associate roses with hearts and love and just thought she'd be perfect for this challenge!

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with copics. I stickled her flowers and used my glitter pen on the stems and leaves to give them just a hint of sheen. I used some of those great BasicGrey bling half moon pearls in the corners and in the center of my Prima flower and added a couple of heart charms and some dainty gold cord. It's hard to tell, but I used my Fiskar heart edger along the side of the pink flowered paper. Wish that would have shown up a tad bit better. And I added a hatpin for her. I love those things (Thanks Lim for your help with those!). I love how she came out!

Try It Out Tuesday #29 - A Gift for You!

Every now and then our furbabies need a little bit of attention. I tell you I could just eat my Hagrid up sometimes! Well, most of the time. He loves me unconditionally, only asks that I feed him and take him out to do his business and to spend time with him. He's the least demanding of my time and believe it or not, most days I get the biggest return on my investment from him!

For Try It Out Tuesday, our ever talented and creative Design Team Leader at SCACD, Suzanne Dean, challenged us over at Follow Your Heart, to make a gift and my neglected Hagrid came to mind. He's been so good with being shifted from room to room since Tiffany and Allie are here that I wanted to do something sweet for him. So I got him some doggie treats and reached for Rian from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! She's just way too cute for herself sitting there cuddling her little puppy! I could just eat her up!



Here's a copy of the whole set. I stamped Rian with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with copics. Then I cut her out using my top note die from SU, trimmed around the edges and cut out another top note out of the plaid paper and the band around the blueberry container is from the Pets Stack from DCWV. I highlighted her hearts on the cuff of her pants with some glaze and her flowers around her hoodie with my Spica Glitter Pen. She's all spritzed with my Shimmerz Spritz and I added a big flower from the Mulberry Street pack from Petaloo and put some buttons on the bottom corner laced with Scrapper's Floss. I was really pleased with how she came out and Hagrid loved his treats!

Ever find an artist or stamp line you just can't get enough of? Well, that's me with Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! I am having the best time creating with these gorgeous stamps and every time I do one of them, I want to do it again in a different way. Crazy, but I can't help it. I'm totally in stamping love! And I've got Susana from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD) to thank for that!

This is Emma and I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with copics and Bic markers. The gorgeous paper is from Graphic 45 and I absolutely adore it and think it's so delicate and feminine and just right for Emma. I used my dotted swiss cuttlebug folder (it's my favorite!) to give some texture to the background and added a bit of organza ribbon from my stash and this beautiful Mulberry flower from Petaloo and a touch of Smooch to her ankle bracelet and some Kaisercraft Pearls (can't decide if this or the BasicGrey Bling or my Oyster Bella Baubles are my favorite embellishment!) to the corners and spritzed her with Shimmerz Spritz in Baby's Breath. I love the sheen it gives to the card. The picture below shows it off a little bit better. I had to add some Glossy Accents to her headband and some stickles to her top and was so pleased with how she came out.


And isn't her face just the most precious thing? I could look at her for days!

Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog - Magnolia Stamps!

Don't you just love yellows and purples together? And I think they match some of my favorite BasicGrey paper, Wisteria. Our challenge over at Scrappy Frog's Challenge Blog this week was to create something using a Magnolia stamp and that was right up my alley! I had colored up this Tilda with Tulips by Magnolia earlier that I got from Summer at Roses on Paper and just hadn't put her together. By the way, Summer is a great place to get your Magnolia stamps from! Well, I took care of this baby today for this challenge!

Tilda with Tulips was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. I cut her out and used this gorgeous Wisteria paper as a background for her. I popped her up with some foam dots and sat her on this beautiful yellow ribbon. The flowers are punched with my Retro Flower punch for EK Success and I placed some BasicGrey Bling in the center of the flowers and on the bottom corner. The butterfly is my MS punch and I had to stickle the flowers, her socks, a tiny bit on the dress and on the butterfly wings. And a touch of glossy Accents makes her hair ribbon look smooth and silky.



I love how the flowers came out and I used some Smooch on the middle of them. Just so pretty!
